I like that the story mode gives you lots of time to do pretty much every side mission that pops up, and that survivors seem to fend for themselves. Worst thing in the previous games was escorting a moron through a horde of flesh munchers.
Nightmare mode is really easy. DO NOT do it at level 50 if you want a challenge, or you could try and do it and try and save everyone LOL which you won't because the time line is tight as f##k. Also I'd advise against leaving your nighmare game open yo the public, I had loads of people join trying to get the x-buster or any other drops  unless you have a co-op buddy ..... and again, this would probably make the play even easier.

Escorting people is 1 billion time better, they are pretty handy, they will use a lot of weapons and don't (generally) just run into a horde of zombies like they did in previous games. I hate all NPC stuff in games but even I can see that they have been put in this game as a help rather than a hindrance ..... i just prefer not to use them, I think if you get the right skill books and tool up a posse? they could be effective ....... ish.

Am up to 98 of 103 weapon blueprints  but am knackered and I think the few I'm missing are in locked rooms only opened by progressing the story LOL so I'll probably sort those tomorrow. That said? I did finally make the 'massive bomb' and it is comedy gold! I stood to close and it nuked everything including my clothes LOLOL

I have a copy sitting there at the moment, but have too many games on the go to start a new one. Can't wait to get into it.

I got to 100 at 4am  3 more to go and I'm pretty sure I know where they are. Only one more Survival Training to gold as well! I've thoroughly enjoyed this game and am considering the DLC season pass ....... but I'be been burned on those passes before (see Borderlands 2). My other option is to max it, sell it while it still commands a half decent price, then re-buy when it's 10p 8)

It's official. I'm all deaded out. I'm not going to bother with the DLC and I'm not bothering with the last achievement (complete all PP trails) because it looks to be broken :( one of the trails re-sets when you kill 72,000 zombies rather than says completed ...... I'm certainly not going to bother doing all the challenges just to find one doesn't complete.

Great game. Buy it.

Don't forget DO NOT wait till level 50 to do nightmare if you want a challenge

Ok, although a fun game.. i'm getting a little bored already. The same thing happened in DR2.. tedious killing over and over to get anywhere. The thing i'd like to see in a dead rising game are missions in a GTA style form, where it lets you choose your to do your mission when you want, but with no time restraints. I like to soak up the atmosphere of a game. Stand back and look around. You can't really do this here. The thing i loved about The Last of Us was exploration of buildings and people's homes. Exploring in this no matter where you go, you're overrun by the hoardes.

Can I ask a few questions as i'm considering just selling this on before I finish it?

When the bomb goes off, does the story restart similar to DR2?

If it does restart, Do I keep all my upgrades, collectables i've found, cars and weapons I've made etc. or do I have to recollect them all? this is the biggie for me.

Dead Rising games have always been about a timeline that you can't change, you can only change what you do in the time allotted. It's not my fave mechanic by any means but if you changed it? it wouldn't be a Dead Rising game.

If you restart? all stats stay, as do combos and cars.

Ah that's good. I'm gonna try and stick with it as it is a good game. I was just hoping they'd offed the time thing
