Err.. Resident Evil 4? Is that FPS or "Survival Horror"? Both I would imagine. But as mentioned I too have a soft spot for Medal of Honor on PS1, I played it recently, was rather shocked to find the gameplay so different to today's FPS's .. but then found myself gravitating towards it again, the atmosphere is just brilliant in that game.

So what is your favourite FPS and why?
I don't like it because of motion sickness! :(

What is the deal with motion sickness? I know it's real because I know 2 people who get it especially with games that have 'gun sway' as you walk. Has there been any research? Surely some boffins have had a 50 grand grant into it?

I played through TS2 with my friend in co-op and thought it was ace. We tried it again with Future Perfect but it kept glitching and skipping one of the players forward to join the other all the time, so much so that it just became unplayable. As for the single player and challenges, it just seemed like a worse version of TS2 to me.

I liked goldeneye at the time, but I don't think I'd want to play it now.

So that just leaves Doom really, I still play it often now via BFG edition. I don't really like modern FPS.

Easy for me as I havent dug far into the Genre.

Doom - PS1 or PC - playing it on a brand new fangled pentium to test them before they were unleashed on the public. So many lunchtimes lost whilst at work and so many late finishes. Coupled with some loud metal over the speaker system and the sound effects on the pc speakers it was bliss.

Not really played many multiplayers as the genre on the whole is really not my bag - had five minutes on possibly Black ops last year other than that ive played Fur Fighters with my brother but thats 3rd person.

If a tree falls in the woods does it gather no birds to the sound of one hand early worming?
