What's this one like? I remember The Killing Cloud and The Killing Game Show but not that one.

World Rally by Gaelco a top down/isometric racer.. fantastic game that I've lost count how much money I pumped into when it was in our local bowling alley, fully playable in MAME.. I think besides myself there's only one other person on this forum that's played it (Two Headed Boy iirc)

I think this is the PC version that i never played, ST for me. I dont think the kids will be impressed with the 'stunning' 3d or incredible 'action'! but I spent a fair few hours on this game.

Maze of Galious for the MSX by Konami. really one of the better 2d platform adventures of that time.
Also its spiritual sequel La mulana is an amazing game in its own right. Both are hardly known outside the small MSX community and deserve a lot more attention.

Bongo (arcade) - a ropey looking platformer with sketchy as hell collision detection but I love it.

MotorHEAT (Xbox 360 indie) - I've never played a game that requires you to stay in 'the zone' as much as this one. Takes some real skill to get a good score. It was my favourite game on the system but that's Chime now. And forever.

Omega Five (XBLA) - not hugely popular but this is the best Sidearms type shooter I've ever played.

Air Taxi (Amiga) - Really addictive game. I'm sure people on here will be aware of it, but I love it all the same.

Masterblaster (Amiga) - basically a Bomberman clone, but I played it before BM, so for that reason I have somewhat of an attachment to it.

Blob Kombat (Amiga) - Really fun little game, great fun to play with a friend.

Rocks & Gems (PS) - A rock-solid Net Yaroze game. I really enjoy it even though I'm not very good at it. Another clone, but fun one.

Blitter Boy (PS) - Another Yaroze game, probably the better of the two I've listed. Kill ghosts, save babies. Fun!

None of my friends had heard of Rad Gravity until I told them about it,

All of them are still yet to play it. :(

The game that springs to mind is Wriggler on the ZX Spectrum.

The Christmas that I got my Speccy my dear old Gran bought me a 10 game compilation and I spent ages trying to fast forward to the game I wanted to play but kept on loading the start of Wriggler which I had no interest in judging by the description (Maggot Marathon??). However after a few attempts I gave in and completed the loading and absolutely loved the game and played almost endlessly for weeks (yet still never managed to complete!) and I still think it would be very playable even by todays standards :D

That game is the reason my wife hunted out her NES.

I hadn't heard of it before she mentioned it, but then again, I didn't own a NES.

BS Out of Bounds Golf for the SNES. In a nutshell: a deviously delicious 4-player mini-golf game that can see you sabotaging the competition by knocking their ball out of bounds. If that isn't grounds for an epic competitive video game, I don't know what is.

It was never officially released on cartridge. Shame.
