No future for F-Zero?

Post by ShadowNeku » Sun Jun 23, 2013 11:03 am

A recent article regarding Miyamoto's concern for seeing the franchise return.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013- ... ero-future

From that we can assume Nintendo has nobody working on a new F-Zero game which is sad news as i was at least hoping something might be in the pipeline. As for Miyamoto's lack of ideas for the franchise, i'm sure most fans would be happy with HD graphics, new courses and some 1p modes.

I guess they are incorporating a bit of F-Zero in the new Mario Kart.

Just re-release F-Zero X on 3DS and allow 40 player online races. Can you imagine how awesome that would be?

Did Miyamoto even have anything to do with previous games in the series? :? . I'm sure there is somebody else who could oversee a new game, preferably teaming up with Sega again or somebody like Namco. F-Zero needs to return. That is all.

Awesome HD graphics (Hell, if Mario Kart can look amazing in HD...), mass online multiplayer, a track editor you can use the touch screen to create tracks and cars exactly to fine detail, and the usual new characters and tracks.

Surly thats enough ideas to warrant a new game? That would surly sell. Hell, maybe when Sakuri is finished doing Smash Bros 4, he could add a crap ton of unlockable content for a new game (Just look at Brawl and Kid Icarus Uprising)...

Get the Trackmania team onboard - the Wii U would be fantastic for course design.

Seemingly the only people who don't think a new F-Zero game (or even a rehashed one) would be a good idea.....are Nintendo.

Strange. :?

Very odd, because you'd think that would be right up Shigeru "Same Game" Miyamoto's alley.

That is odd, they are all great franchises that could do with a re-boot and I think could do really well. Maybe they are concentrating on the core Mario/ Zelda franchises a little too much?

Add Wario to that list too, I was hoping for a 3DS/Wii U platformer at E3 this year. :(

There were new StarFox and Pilotwings games on 3DS not so long ago, and I'm 100% certain Metroid will show up at some point on Wii U.

As for Wace Race... well, the original Game Boy game was nothing to write home about and a lot of people were disappointed with Blue Storm. The N64 game is the only one that's ever really had a great reputation. Maybe that was a one-off and the franchise is better off fadimg away.
