R-Type, Tetris and Kirby's pinball are the only mono-GB games I have ever played if you don't count emulation. So I'll say them (in that order).

A few of my favourites:

Revenge of the Gator - Perfect ball physics (friends have been known to tilt the gameboy in an effort to influence ball movement) and a nice variety of sub-screens.

Kirby's Pinball - Almost as good.

Donkey Kong - The best game on the GB, hands down. The height of Nintendo level design. Clever stuff surprisingly bettered by its GBA sequel.

Tetris - Obviously.

Monster Max - Jon Ritman isometric adventure and a good one at that.

Parodius - Everything great about Parodius *squeezed* into a tiny cartridge. Surprisingly faithful and highly impressive for such an early release.

Bomb Jack - Not a perfect conversion (the sprites are too big so the mechanics are different) but still highly playable.

That's my mums favourite game, she's recently given up smoking so in order to give her something else to do other than think of cigs I bought her a Gameboy Advance with a few games, tha majority of which she hasn't got a cat in hells chance of getting to grips with, Revenge of the Gator however she's never off.

Quest: Brian's Journey- yes, it's actually one of the few games that has taken my life away for nearly 12 hours straight. why? don't really know...

Zelda.

I also think Navy Seals and Jurrasic Park are criminally underrated.

Most definitley not - Metal Gear Solid -Game Boy Colour

hmm I thought this was the overrated games thread.

Darn.

The main reason I bring it up is the Megadrive version was completeable in 2mins 45.

That's rather poor.
