I had a 360 and Dreamcast die on me. Oh and a 60 gig original PS3. My PS1 though, bought on release is still going strong ! :D

Had an early '360 RROD on me once but that's it TBH. Had a couple of PCs die when they were over 10 years old. One of them was running Windows ME and never had any problems with it, despite ME having such a bad reputation at the time. That was a wicked PC; Athlon 1ghz, Nvidia TNT2, 20g hardrive (IIRC). When I got that I could walk into HMV and buy any game knowing it would run it- them were the days!

Had a 360 RROD, but we knew someone who worked at a store and simply exchanged it for a brand new one for us :D

Went through a number of PS2's also. Dont think my JP PS2 is going to last. My Dreamcast has the reset issue but think ive fixed it... Just need a video cable to test it now :?

all i can think of is 1 x ps1,2 x ps2 and 2 x ps3 and all of those were drive fails through use.
i did have one ps3 die after one month but that one made a huge noise from the day i got it,i think someone dropped it but because it was my first slim i thought the noise was normal,i took it back and exchanged it myself.

I remember when the Dreamcast died on me back in 2004/2005, and a shop replaced it. The PS2 came soon afterwards (I blame it on the Modchip). After that a couple of 360s stopped working but that was 4 years ago.
Nothing too sad really!

The display on my Vectrex died at one of Matt Brown's Video Game Carnivals. I keep meaning to take it to a TV repair shop but I just don't have the money.

They replaced a Dreamcast in 2004/2005? Thought they were off the shelves by then? :?

I hope i don't got jinxin' mine but...mega drives seem to be the AK47's of consoles. You could burry them in the sand for 50 years, dig them up, p*ss on them, and they'd still work. I've had the same one since 1991. It's moved all over the place with me. I have 2 'back ups' in the attic, one of which is boxed...both have never been touched :D

My Amstrad CPC 464 Power supply melted back in the day. Same for my Amiga 500+ one. Guess I had them on too long.

Two CRT TVs on the same day, a few weeks after moving into my new place.
Got the smaller one fixed but cost so much I bought a plasma instead of fixing the big one.

Yesterday I powered up my Dreamcast for the first time in about 6 or so years, and there is no colour displayed. Games load but the image is almost pure black. Faulty console or faulty cable? Any ideas?

I remember my atari lynx snapping, wasn't too bothered as it was a poor machine riddled with problems and already well on the way to being a complete fail.

had to replace the drive on my Amiga and needed a new power pack (brick) on my 360.
