It probably wasn't made to be profitable in the short term. When a new platform arrives the list of games is very small. BC is a perfect way of bumping up your catalogue list almost overnight. The slight misstep that MS made here IMO was to not have hundreds, if not thousands of titles available in the first six months - it's been drip fed. But it is a very nice feature that they can boast over Sony. That's what it was all about IMO.

It's a shame that they couldn't find a way of just making the original discs work as that would have given them what they really wanted - thousands of games playable from day 1.

Interestingly, if they continue BC for future consoles it will make them more money in the long term because less people will have played those games and those that played them several years ago often won't have access to them anymore and will be more than happy to pay between £5 to £10 for them.

On a side note, I do think the £15+ ones are OP. I can pick them up for cheaper second hand and then d/l them for free!

Mass Effect is a perfect example. You can buy the trilogy box set with all DLC for about £25 from Amazon, but each one on XB1 BC list is about £15.

Geese is in Tekken 7, and looks absolutely amazing, oh boy I wonder if SFV is going to reveal anything...

BWAHAHAHAHAHA, wtf is that Abigail thing? Hugo's replacement? I'm crying here, Ono what are you doing?

Well I'm glad Abigail gets his Final Fight music, hard to believe he's even more 'roided up than he was in Final Fight. I really enjoy Zangief in SFV so he might actually be right up my street.

But SNK/Namco knocked it out of the park with the Geese reveal. I'm an enormous Geese fan, pretty much think he's the best boss there is in a fighting game and he looks like he fits in so damn well, so I'm finally sold on Tekken 7. I'll most likely grab it around the time of his release.

As for my other favourite fighting game boss, Arika (remember them? they released Street Fighter EX) announced that they are bringing their new game to the PS4 next year. So far its got no concrete name but they've shown off Garuda (who rocks!), Hokotu, Kairi, Darun and Skullomania  Cannot wait for this, I loved the EX games and characters (especially Garuda and Skullo) so I'm already sold. I've already read theories on how the game still not having an official title, and Capcom's somewhat confirmation of these characters in the official SF cannon via their website means its going to be SF EX4, but I'd honestly be happy if we keep the shoto count really low in this game (assuming Kairi and Allen are the only two Ken/Ryu types in the game).

Plus Ark showed off Jubei finally coming to Blaz Blue (not played the series for ages, how is he only just now getting in?), they are also doing some weird tag team crossover game with Blaz Blue, Persona 4 Arena and some properties I've never heard of...

Capcom also showed off Jedah and Gamora for Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite both of whom look pretty awesome. All round a great Evo in terms of reveals, not quite sure how I'll manage to play any of these games though, I have enough problems devoting time to SFV!

I would have loved it if instead of that Cross Tag game, Arc had announced Persona 5 Arena, but still it looks ace. About damn time Jubei was playable too.

Yeah, hopefully we get at least Joker in the crossover game at very least for Persona 5 representation but really most of the main characters would be awesome picks.

Vita ports mean I'm sold! Plus I love the music for the series so it seems like a decent fit for a spin off while I wait for the next mainline Persona game (well, not that I need P6 anytime soon, I still have 3 and 4 to play!)

Can't wait for DD. Capcom's remasters this gen have been pretty ace, nice having some of my favourite games of last gen in 60FPS (especially since my PC is still DOA at the moment).

Assuming Girls Und Panzer is like the Vita version it'll be incredibly arcadey and fast paced, not played World of Tanks though so not sure if its similar. But it'll probably be pretty fun and its getting an Asian English release so I've already mentally purchased a copy!

Filled up my PS4 1tb external drive now and have 145 games I can play instantly. Well worth the £40 I paid for it :)

NMS Update 1.3

Looks good, nice chunky update like the previous 2. Taking some pages out of Elite's book?

Fantastic! Just needs VO... "In a world...."

Fishing games are usually very US centric and don't have the species or methods we have here, so I was glad to see a perch in there (fishing is another of my passions).
