I ordered the Retron 5 bundle with 2 controllers on the 30th April. It arrived the following day.
I have only just opened the parcel to wrap it (it is a birthday present for the wife!) and can only find 1 controller in the box.
Has anyone else ordered the bundle option with 2 controllers and if so, were they both in the Retron 5 box or was the 2nd controller in its own box?
I have contacted Funstock (no response yet as it is the weekend) but I would like to know if it is just a picking/packing error?

I got that, and it was in it's own box separately, not in with the console itself.
Though I thought both boxes were in one other bigger box, from memory...

Thanks for letting me know. It definitely isn't in the bigger outer box. I suspect a picking error.
I will check with funstock.

Who do Funstock use for deliveries? I've contacted them a couple of times, even dropping a message on Facebook but had no response

After the Blackpool Play let down I thought I'd buy one direct.

Royal Mail I think.
I contacted Funstock and they have sent a controller out in the post. Probably just a picking mistake.

Received the pad yesterday
Tried it out last night on behalf of my wife.
Very good so far. It is a really good machine.
Couple of questions :
1) Should you power it off to replace cartridges?
2) Has any one had problems with any cartridges. I have problem with it reading F-Zero on the SNES. Is it usually rules apply? Blow on cartridge/clean them?

Not if you don't mind shorting something out, especially since the recommended removal technique is to lift from one side.
Power off to swap is standard for any system that uses an edge connector.

I was doing it last night. It seemed OK, but I will in future power it off.
It doesn't say in the instructions whether you should or not.
The boot up time is quite long but I have found that there is a firmware update which speeds this up.

Most of these cart systems are designed with sufficient depth to the cart slot that there's not much scope for twisting and crossing contacts, hence it will usually be safe.
As a Spectrum owner, it's not a risk I'd take, since so many of those are damaged that way.

I know.
What a censored I am.
Just tested it again and it is all fine. Also seems much more reliable about detecting the cartridge correctly.
Dodged a bullet there I reckon.

Holy cow, Acegrace... Never ever take a cart out when the power is on... you trying to wreck your new tech?

mine arrived earlier this morning, think its pretty cool so far. Def see the appeal of not having a mountain of consoles out at one time esp as some of mine dont like my new big badass tv.
Controller is garbage though, but at least you can use originals. Anyone know if it supports snes multitaps?
