Just don't use the charger that comes with it!

Won't charge via the usb either so you'll need a lead.

Snes runs very well even the likes of starfox etc.

Its a two pin, with a very very cheap adapter. It seemed to get very hot, so didn't fancy leaving unattended.

I use a USB lead, with the 0.5mm (??) plug into the JXD, with a proper USB charger.

Obviously, this might be because I imported from Hong Kong, maybe the ones from elsewhere are better.

Cheers for the heads up, slacey. I've purchased a three pin adaptor from Amazon hopefully it will do the trick. :D

Has there been any talk of them improving the poor build quality and awful grip on the cartridges?

- Well Yes / No

"We'd like to announce that the RetroN 5 has received CE Certification. A European release date will follow.

In the coming months, we will initiate new European packaging, new units manufactured with said packaging, shipping them overseas, and awaiting customs for approval.

We greatly appreciate your support"

Then later in the comments

"The EU units are exactly like the US units now in that they have upgraded components."

So take what you will from that

After having the machine for a few months now, I can honestly say I love it. Use it nearly every day.

upscales GB and GBA games great.

NES and SNES slots are of no issue to me whatsoever. runs all reagions Japanese, US, and PAL with no issues.

MD is a little tight. However an adaptor for £10 off Ebay solved all isuues.

only problem is the Famicom slot, its far to tight and I am not to keen on using it. this is remedied a little by only using official carts.

Big thumbs up from me after owning one for quite a while.

Well after some more time on it, my initial opinion remains............it's does exactly what I wanted it to do, no real issues in all honesty (the pad that comes with it is a bit pants), the games look great on the TV now!

On a separate note, can anyone recommend some good (and cheap) GBA games (I have never had a GBA so it's an unknown entity to me) - fancy trying a couple of GBA carts on the Retron 5.

Guys, once you put in a game can you save it to the machine? Or do you have to swap carts out each time? Also, can any Bluetooth controller be used, ie a ps4 one...?

No you can't save the cart to the machine. It transfers your save to the machine and allows you to keep it on the internal memory or upload back on to the cart
