Id Imagen them losing a lot of UK sales due to this BS delay
This aint the 90s any more most games/machines tend to come outin the UK soon after the US

Also @RodimusPrime take it you aint selling the Famiclone NES anymore?

Have not even decided yet TBH. I will be honest, the reason I am a little reluctant is the fact that with everything thats happened with the retron 5, I am a little dubious above the reliability and the chances of getting a replacement or of getting it fixed if something happens.

I really want one, however I am not willing to spend the £180ish that they are selling for on ebay right now

Nes, and Snes like I said are no problem at all. my Famicom problems seem to be mainly with the knockoff carts. official ones seem fine.

The MD does seem to have gotten better, but I have found a rather nice workaround anyway. I just leave an MD import adaptor in. Games work fine and it means I am not actually constantly putting in, and taking out carts on the MD slot itself.

So the funstock still says limited stocking September, however i think it is now clear that we will not be getting one soon and by that I mean this year if at all. Personally I think it has gone for CE testing and failed (most likely an RF shielding issue), Hyperkin are not willing are able to have the design changed so they are just not saying anything. I hope I am wrong, U really do but only time will tell I guess

I was hoping to get one of these but as they're still not available I was looking at the previous versions. Has anyone used the RetroN 1, 2 or 3? I just wanted to know how the UK versions handle 50/60hz and if they play any region carts etc.

Well 'they' have no clube whats going on with it. However Hyperkin (the makers of Retron5) have just upped the MSRP in the states by 20 USD. Also they have been been in hot water over the fact they have been using well known emulators to power the machine. In short if you want one this year then your best bet is ebay or import one yourself :!:

I was pretty close to buying a Retron 5 on Ebay today for... well lets just say silly money but something told me not too.
I found some user reviews on Amazon US and this one in particular made me glad i didnt buy at this point.

So even one of the machines dovelopers thinks they made the cart ports too tight and the pins too weak.

It seems to me that the Retron 5 is a very expensive gamble... one which i'm not sure i want to enter into now :(

I was bidding on one that is in the UK right now but the bidding is now over £200 that was too rich for me.

Its a real shame that such a great idea has been undermined by a poor design decision.... any more news on UK release??

Vgp are selling this. I'm not sure if they deliver to the uk but if they do I would much rather use them as opposed to EBay. Works out at around £82.66 minus the shipping...

Edit: And it appears that they ship to the UK. I have one at the checkout now and am very tempted to complete. About £120 with tracked shipping...

If you do it I will do it. :D
My worry is that they dont mark the price down on the actual packaging so it doesnt get customs charges... which would be about 50 quid on this item.
