Shoot-em-ups have the worst ones- Gynoug sounds like someone passing a difficult bowel movement, Axelay is a good name for a scrolling Golden Axe beat-em-up, but for a shooter?

For some dodgy titles you really have to look at the Japanese versions of the Castlevania games. Most of the Castlevania series (2d games at least) I think are really good but take, say, Harmony of Dissonance (weird enough, but acceptable as to me it's a musical play on words) was know in "Japan as Concerto of Midnight Sun".

999: 9 hours, 9 persons, 9 doors - I can understand terrible grammar when it comes to bad translated dialogue. Just. But how on earth can a title like this make it onto store shelves?

Football Manager - I mean...it does what it says on the tin, but it's not exactly the most creative of titles, is it?

Bravely Default: If you saw this for sale and you had no knowledge of it, you'd just think they plucked two random words from the dictionary and put them together.

Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver - Just plain pants.

Wii U - Not a game, but it's just generally a terrible name for a console. One of the worst ever.
