doom and gloom all around as usual
but i agree the signs are not pretty and the future of the wii u is a bit ( okay very much ) in doubt

but why are people expecting this thing to shift the same numbers as the wii anyway ?

its been out for around 6 months if that and there is a drought of software
and that is with all new consoles
hey wait ! i got a new complaint !

Wow those figures make some really grim reading for Nintendo!

3.45 million units worldwide is shocking. Especially when you take into account the Atari 7800 sold 3.8 million units in North America alone.

Not that i'm trying to deny the Wii-U's struggles at retail, but how reliable is this article? The site looks a bit dodgy to me, just because of the over-simplistic layout and how short the article is.

Mario Kart has been confirmed for this year. Once the big hitters come out it will be worth looking in to then.

Are the BBC, Reuters and The Wall Street Journal good enough for you?

Nintendo is a public limited company so it has to publish such figures by law. I thought this was common knowledge.

That is satisfactory :D
Again, i wasn't trying to deny the Wii-U's poor retail performance. Just thought the site looked a bit off and could be any old random making up sales figures, like the Dead Space 3 rumours a while back.

Nintendo has been slow to get their own heavy hitters out on the machine, when that happens it will start to sell, The Wii launched with Zelda: Twilight Princess after all, since they are to release a HD version of Wind Waker, they should probably do the same with Twilight Princess.
