Had a quick play of R-Type and Target Renegade on speccy emulator. I sucked at both,especially the latter (veeeery slow and clunky controls,imho) but the first one was very impressive for a 48k game.

I have been very much addicted to Pokemon Blue on the GB again. Recently bought it (again!) mint condish for a fiver (Y)

Ooh, and bought Super Princess Peach for the DS today. It's a nice little platformer. Ok, it's no Mario but it'll clear my head during breaks from "Catch 'em all" fever!

Jam Session (DS) - Very good game, playing a guitar on the DS is fun!

Fantasy Zone - Awesome shooter, gets very hard on later levels.

Turrican - Playing both C64 and amiga versions, the C64 wins, JUST!

Carrier Command - brilliant strategy game.

Devil Crash on GP2x - To annoy everyone in the office!

Just had a go on Expert.... "Jessica"......

I've 5 starred GH2 on Medium, but can't get to grips with that 5th fret on Hard.

Just got GH1 last week and there's 1 song I can't quite 5 star on easy mode. I'm 1% off it and its annoying me - I played it several times over last night and kept getting 96%. There's just something in its note changes I find awkward. I forget the song, its the 3rd last one.

I know a bloke who reckons Freebird on Expert is fun!

Is Guitar Hero actually of any use or benefit towards learning playing guitar properly on a real one?

Apart from timing I'd imagine no.

Then again, I actually play guitar and I'm useless at Guitar Freaks in the arcade.

I'm currently playing (and just finished on Red mode) the awesome Gunstar Super Heroes.

out of interest where are you up to? I remember a few times when I was lost, skate round all the levels and eventually when you enter one you will trigger a cutscene. Must have one of the best soundtracks to every grace a game
