Is it the game on its own, or the one that comes with Sega GT included which I think was a launch disc for the original Xbox?

Both versions should work now. They fixed the Sega GT/JSRF one last though.

And the Sega GT/JSRF disc wasn't a launch disc. It came bundled with consoles later on (1+ year after launch if I remember correct).

Altered Beast on the PS2 version of the Sega Mega Drive Collection. Not sure why, as I chuffing HATE it, but I'm strangely determined to beat it.

Finally got around to finishing Final Fantasy XII.
Just got through the final run of bosses and can confirm that this is definitely my favourite FF yet. Great characters, story and dialogue, light on the emo crap and very reminiscient of Vagrant Story. Recommended.

Alien Syndrome on the PSP, really enjoying it though right now I'm stuck on the gas/fire level.

I was a fan of the original and the gameplay in the new version is along the same lines with the level-ups providing a frisson to the action. The game was never meant to be the next Civilisation, just an enjoyable arcade game that you can pick up and play any time you want.

After a bit of nostalgic tinkering with Pokémon Blue I went and grabbed the DS Diamond version. Blue was my one and only experience with Pokémon, and I'd forgotten over the years just what a lovely, well-designed and compelling little game it is.
