Currently playing Bloodstained - Ritual of the Night. Whilst I'm not 100% sold on the art style, the gameplay is solid, and it matches up quite well with Castlevania - Symphony of the Night. Overall I'd highly recommend it to anyone who loves Metroidvania's.

Turok 1 & 2 remasters. Pretty nice remasters of these classic N64/PC dinosaur slaying (yeah, I feel sorry for them a bit... ) FPS games. A "thumbs up" from me.

I've been playing a lot of Mario Maker 2. It's amazing.

SO far there hasn't been much in the way of filler/dross levels. It's definitely been 70/30 in the favour of good.

Anyone here playing it would love some more opinions on my levels...

You know that a TC of that was released for the PC version of Doom, several years ago I assume?

I'm on Bloodstained too, and I'm nearing the end now. It's real good, and although there are definitely problems with the Switch version that I'm currently playing, it's far from being "unplayable" as some hyperbolic statements have suggested.

Played through Far Cry 5 recently. It is now my favorite in the series. Outstanding game. On finishing it, Retro Gamer Magazine issue 152 (yes I'm very behind in my issues) has an article on Desert Strike which got me itching to play that again, as I'd not played it properly since I was a kid.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6atpKGx6p-Q

Used to hire it from the video store and clock it within a few hours. Well this time round, I dunno if my skills in these sorts of games has diminished or whatever, but I did nowhere near as good this time round. That said, of the 4 campaign levels I got through the first 2 no problem. But that third one. Damn. I could not beat it without save states. It has this bit where you have to escort a bus through a city, with tanks and rocket launchers everywhere. Crazy. Just 1 campaign level to go. Great game regardless. I dunno how I managed it back then.

That said, there is games that I used to be really damn good at as a kid (eg 2D platformers, scrolling shooters etc) that I suck ass at nowadays. Where as I'm really good at FPS and RTS games now, which I used to suck at back then. So you can't win either way.

Spot of Test Drive Unlimited to break the new controller in, bloody traffic is getting frustrating as sometimes it registers further from the car and sometimes not at all when you are weaving through on the behave yourself missions.
