A friend lent me 688(i) Hunter Killer on PC. Only had a brief fling with it, but it looks pretty good. That reminds me, I must have a look for a demo of Silent Hunter 4.
I've got £20 to spend a HMV. Thinking of going for Flight Simulator Deluxe (it'll cost more than £20, but it'll make a dent in it) or maybe a new game for Wii. So expect another post from me on Saturday

I downloaded frogger for Xbox 360 last night after reading the feature in the latest issue. It's a very good version.
In preparation for a nice extra long Bank Holiday weekend (I have tomorrow and Tuesday off too - 5 day weekend!

)....
-I downloaded and installed the last 2 episodes of Sam & Max
-I downloaded and installed the Oblivion formID patch ready to delve into the game again
-Created a new character to try out the new classes in Guild Wars Nightfall.

Any opinions yet? I played it about a year ago and rather enjoyed it. It's a shame it was so overshadowed by God of War.
It's pretty good yeah....lot of button mashing though.
The graphics are nice, and the cutscene accents are hilarious.

It is mentioned very early on in the game but by the time you need it you've forgotten its there having never needed it. The rail gun not only lets ou see through walls with a sort of heat vision, it can also shoot through walls. You can take out bad guys from the other side of a wall before they've even seen you, so their rail guns just become ammo drops for you.
Thanks for that tip, I shall give it a go later.

I saw the mention of Lemmings in the 'next issue' blurb in RG, and that inspired me to dig out my Lemmings 2 cart.
Can't believe how bad I am at it now though - I can't remember what ANY of the Lemming skills are

688 is a good game , but if you can get hold of Silent Scope 2 , get that
It's worth it for the manual alone

I just googled that and it's an FPS? Is that the one you meant?

I think he means Silent Service II.
Why retro? Because you never forget your first love.

No, Silent Scope is a lightgun game, similar to Virtua Cop. I suppose
technically its an FPS in as much as it
is viewed in first person and you do shoot stuff, but being on rails and having no freedom to look around negates it being classed a FPS as we know them.

Nitro Ball in Mame for the League.
This game should be in RG. Its mental. Screenies don't do it justice, it all looks a bit generic. But then it starts moving and its mad. Completely off the wall barking mad. Even Minter would agree.
And a bit more Guitar Hero II. Only 6 songs left to 5 star in Easy mode.

I just played Worms on XBLA, I won for a change (unlike the old days).
We were down to our last worm each, and I killed his (which 150health) with mine (20 health) by using the 'prod' move into a pool of water. I then p!ssed myself laughing - I don't think he liked that, but I couldn't help myself.
