I'm on a retrogamer forum and I kind of expect people to play at least some share of retro games. yet everytime I go into this topic, people play stuff like that. Rather new games, too new to be even considered retro. Taito Legends may be retro, but it's on PS2 anyway.

WHY CAN'T SOMEONE FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE BRING IN THAT THEY'VE JUST PLAYED SOMETHING RETRO?!!!

I've just been playing some Legend of Zelda on my SNES.

Calm down mate, a lot of people have brought this up before and you cant expect people nowadays to just be a total retro nerd and play retro only. A lot of people share their game time between modern and retro games, this is accepted practice on this forum.

Well, I don't really have a fast and powerful computers like the rest of you, so I'm more or less forced to play older games anyway.

I'm just disappointed that all I see are PS2 and other newer games. Not much retro for readers of a game magazine that specializes in older games.

I do see what you're saying, and I guess it does look a bit like everyone is just playing all these new games, but I would say though that most if not all of us here are retro enthusiasts regardless of what we play. I think a mixture of retro and modern day stuff is an awesome gaming combination and saves us from getting jaded. I think we've all been there before at one point or another.

Been playing the following:
Mega Man 3 and 4 for the Gameboy. Wonderful games, nice balanced difficulty to
Guitar Hero (Such an addictive game)
Legendary Wings for the PSP. One of the most infuriating Capcom games on the classics collection. Insane difficulty killed the fun for me on this one.
Smash Bros Brawl - Unlocked the Hedgehog, now started the adventure mode.

Not retro at all, but over the weekend I have been playing;

Sega Superstar Tennis (Wii) - Load of rubbish - I want my money back :(

Stranglehold (360) - Really enjoying the over the top action and the stylish presentation

Forza 2 (360) - thought I would hate this, but with the aids on it is playable even for a cack-hander like me

Army of Two (PS3) - Damn you EA and your crap servers!

Excite Truck (Wii) - Great fun, this is the Wii's Motorstorm and to be honest I prefer it

Viva Pinata - (360) - nothing happens :? It's like an even slower version of Harvest Moon

Flatout Ultimate Carnage (360) - Not bad as I only paid a tenner, but would be gutted to have payed full price.

Not a bad game but it's not what I was expecting, I think it's more a beat em up than a shoot em up.
Splink!
