My son has discovered Fortnite. Pretty much the same as PubG but the fave game of those crazy youngsters at the moment.
Yeah, I like it. It's less demanding to run than PUBG, friendlier and... well... free. Plus I prefer the cartoony, colourful look.

Anyway, I'm currently playing Doom (Switch), Skyrim and Deadly Premonition (both PC). I've just worked out how to sideload the Google Play Store on my Fire tablet and downloaded Super Mario Run so I might give that a workout, too.

I tried it too, it's not bad and the base construction part is pretty cool and gives tactical options. No chance in hell I'm paying money for that broken mess called PUBG.

Wet on 360.

Quite enjoying it so far, like an early version of the action of Bayonetta crossed with Mirror's Edge.

Kirby Star Allies, good so far, but not great yet. At first i was put off by the multiplayer emphasis but once I realised I didn't have to have 4 characters all the time I began to enjoy it more. The AI characters can be occasionally frustrating but the game has a lot of the expected cute and fun touches to makle up for it.

I've spent the day playing Nintendo 8-Bit (NES and original Gameboy) on a multi-set up of three different systems on my coffee table:

PAL NES - for all the regular stuff
N64 style Chinese Famiclone - for my various multi-carts and the couple of Famicom originals I have (Mario Bros and Route 16: Turbo); also has a lightgun which comes in handy for games like Duck Hunt and Wild Gunmen
Gamecube + GBA Player + Everdrive GB - for the original GB

Rayman Legends on the Wii U. Really enjoying this, the level design is fantastic. Surprised just how good the touch screen bits are.

Burnout Paradise Remastered - still great
Far Cry 5 - oddly brilliant (yes it's still Ubisoft: The Game but this might be the best yet)
Sir Eatsalot - Vita game. 2D platformer/puzzler/adventure thing. Great visuals but let down by turgid, awful level design.
Tesla vs Lovecraft - the latest from 10TonsLtd (who did Neon Chrome and the brilliant Jydge). More action focused. Completely ace.

and Lumines on the Vita. Finally nailed the 30 matches in 30 seconds trophy. Took a while.

Still going through my PS3 collection. Currently on Goldeneye Reloaded. It's not bad, but the difficulty levels are daft; the game isn't any harder on the higher levels, you just get non-regenerating health. I'm finding this is the case for a lot of PS3 games, they seem to be designed for "trophy mining" rather than providing any form of challenge or longevity.
No, i'm not angry. That's just how i write.
