Blockbuster Closing Down sale
Has anyone been to Blockbusters lately? They're having a massive closing down sale.
Just grabbed a few bargains - fight night champions £4
yakuza 4 - £4
Plus ultimate bargain - Xenoblade Chronicles x2 - £14
There's loads of bargains to be had, 70% off most stuff, a lot of it is preowned just adding to the value - Zelda Skyward sword £7, Teken Tag 2 £10. There was 30% off Wii U games, all the hardware is being sold off and special editions.
If you got a Blockbusters near you I recommend getting there ASAP.

I went to the one near me the other day and they had big posters up saying trading as normal
Re: Blockbuster Closing Down sale
No sale in the Sheffield one, everything was normal with a couple of bargain offers on some older games.
Re: Blockbuster Closing Down sale

No sale in Aldershot either. Apparently it's mostly the bigger stores which are closing.

Same here, i think the larger stores are staying open, a small one near me closed about six months ago. The main one a couple of miles away is staying open and as you say trading as normal. The Laird wrote:I went to the one near me the other day and they had big posters up saying trading as normal

Same. That said, there was hardly any stock - they couldn't have had any more than about five games for the Wii and 3DS. Perhaps I'd missed the best of it.The Laird wrote:I went to the one near me the other day and they had big posters up saying trading as normal

The one by me is massive, so you are probably rightZXSabreman wrote:Same here, i think the larger stores are staying open, a small one near me closed about six months ago. Re: Blockbuster Closing Down sale
It also depends, I imagine, on stock levels. Our store in Fleet simply vanished overnight (although it, being a Blockbuster, had been running some kind of sale for years now).themightymartin wrote:No sale in Aldershot either. Apparently it's mostly the bigger stores which are closing.

I got a few 99p Gamecube games including Zelda but they where scratched to bits, which makes me think most of there second hand stock is just going be ruined.. I feel sorry for who ever buys the umpteen fifa's after whichever Chav has used them as a coster

No more last gen stuff in my local so I've pretty much stopped going in - was actually just down the precinct, wish I'd have checked now!
