Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands, Super Mario Galaxy (both), Infamous (both), Sonic Generations, probably Sly 4 when it comes out...

I think I will give the nod to the Infamous games because being a super hero and traversing a city on cables, rooftops and rails is so enjoyable and getting new powers to facilitate that enhances that enjoyment. It's not a traditional platformer by any means but I don't think a game has to be a Mario 64 clone to be considered one, as long as obstacle traversal makes up a significant portion of the game.

I haven't played any of the ones released in the last 10 years so I couldn't say.

It's a toss up between VVVVVV and Super Meat Boy for me.

I'm still playing Knight n Grail and Soulless on my Commodore 64 and I'm having great fun with both. 2 of my favourites for sure.

Spelunky (360) is the best, it's better than everything else from this gen (or any other gen).

Super Meat Boy was awesome. Never been a huge fan of 3d platformers and there isnt a great deal of 2d ones outside of the indie scene. Rayman Origins is fun and looks absolutely amazing.
