Indeed. :D

There's just something very special to me about OutRun's music that seems to perfectly encapsulate the very essence of what videogaming is all about for me. :D

Sega excepted, I of course hold C+VG responsible.

Special mention goes out to Castle Quest loading music on BBC Micro. It has been stuck in my head for years.

That brings up something that I have been wondering about for some time, the question of how different people choose their Outrun soundtracks. Do you have a particular favourite to always use or use most of the time, or do you switch freely from one to another?

Personally, I have a permanent association between Splash Wave and Outrun and on the very rare occasions I might use one of the others it's purely to experiment and experience the oddity of it.

As for my three, which would probably be quite different had you asked yesterday or will ask again tomorrow,

Turrican II - Amiga
Lightforce - C64
Rings of Medusa - Atari ST

When playing OutRun Online Arcade I generally select a different tune from the nine or so available each game because I like the variety and don't wish to become sick of hearing the same two or three same tunes.
