Posted this in the Movies thread, was a little let down by it, picked up after a slow start, where were all the cameos (yes I know there were a few) but...
Still a good film and the kids liked it but didn't laugh that much really...

It's ace (and I've seen it probably 15 times because the kids are mad about it)

Very average Pixar guff but with an some excellent gaming stuff and soundtrack. Ryu and Ken off to tappers for a berr? win.

I loved the first third. It sags a little in the middle, but picks up for the end. Would have loved more videogame references throughout the entire film, but it was really enjoyable all the same. My 7-year old also loved it.

I thought the opposite. Start was great but it then went off the boil.

Recently been to see it and I enjoyed it - though I don't think it was a great pixar film. I suspect too much pressure from the producers of the film to make it appeal to a mass audience than to gamers. They used only the big recognisable franchises from America and Nintendo gaming. As games are predomanently a male past time, I noticed to appeal for girls, many of the characters were female and the film was set in a sickly cute fairyland. I felt this lingered on far too long and no doubt many adults would find this babyish and prevent it from being the cross over film Pixar films are renowned for.

Still it great to see our fav gaming characters up on the big screen.

Very average Pixar guff
Hate to be a pedant, but Wreck-It Ralph isn't Pixar. its Disney Animation. Pixars film for thsi year is Monsters University.

Amazed this has hit number 1 in the UK cinema's, wasn't quite expecting that.

I'm off to go see this in a couple hours up in Sheperds Bush so will post my thoughts on my return!

Edit - well I certainly thought it was an amazing film, lots of little nods and references. I agree that it tailed off a little in the middle but overall one of Disney's best in a LONG time. I nabbed the soundtrack whilst I was in Westfield also!

Went to see it last night and enjoyed it about fifty times more than I thought I would :D

Definitely one for DVD, I was getting dizzy at the start looking at all the different characters. And Sugar Rush looks like a fantastic game!
