Pokemon X and Y- Unlike BW and BW2, this one looks to really give the series the jump to graphics a lot of us have been waiting for. Nothing wrong with sprites mind, but even since the R/B days, I've been dreaming this sort of 3D game.
I'm expecting the same sort of game, just from a different viewpoint. I hope I'm wrong and they genuinely fulfill the potential of what this could be.

Anyway...

* South Park RPG - I'm cautiously optimistic about this one, despite the quality of previous SP games. They seem to have the right people behind it, and the trailers look pretty funny, so...here's hoping!

* Ni No Kuni - I love RPGs that have a world map, and it generally looks like a fun RPG.

* Bioshock Infinite - It looks great and the premise is very interesting.

* Fallout 4 - Here's hoping...

* Final Fantasy Versus XIII - As above. OK, the rest of the XIII games have been dire. Heck, I've not enjoyed a Final Fantasy game since IX if I'm honest. But being naive I'm optimistic this will finally be the one to recapture the former glory of the series. Assuming it ever sees the light of day.

Simcity.
I know it won't be as good as Simcity 4, I know it'll be too casual without the depth of earlier games and I know I'll ultimately be disappointed. But I'm looking forward to it nonetheless.

The only games I'm really looking forward to are Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, and Watch Dogs. I don't have a PS3 or Xbox 360 so my choices are somewhat limited but I make up for it with a rather powerful laptop.

I won't even pretend that I know all the games coming out that I'll want, but certainly BioShock Infinite, Diablo3 if it gets a 360 release, the new IP from Bungie maybe, er.....anything Fallout-related from Bethesda.

That's about it. Can't see too much of interest, especially considering it's very likely that the next Elder Scrolls (and probably Fallout) will be on the 720 or whatever it's called. I don't see much emerging from Bioware until the next generation is here either.

Won't be a vintage year for (modern) gaming.

In addition to those games I've already listed here: DmC: Devil May Cry (PC).

I've noticed plenty of PS360 owners bellyaching on teh internets that the game on those platforms has graphics running at only 30 fps and of how that adversely affects the gameplay according to series' veterans. With the PC version soon to be released I had a look in to whether it would be running at the same frame rate or hopefully at 60 fps along with all the other usual host of visual improvements over the console versions. Even better than that, the PC version has the option to be set to an unlimited frame rate. The reviewer in this article had the game running at +100 fps,

http://www.godisageek.com/2013/01/dmc-d ... -analysis/

I've heard the game is very good anyway but now I've learned of the above information I'll be adding the PC version to my 'games for 2013' list. :D

TBH I can't think of anything new either, though I'm probably 2 years behind everyone else anyways.
I've still got loads of stuff to try from the past couple of years. I've yet to get Gears 3, for example.

Yup, this. Same thoughts on it too. Not likely to be as good as previous games in the series were, but.... still, gonna grab it.

....and that's really it, actually. Most games that I'm actually aware of well before their impending release are the sorts of things I'm just not going to give a flip about. And generally dont care about the consoles anymore as it is; lineup on those looks boring as hell to me, no interest whatsoever.

Metal Gear Solid Revengeance - I will admit I've never been much of a fan of the MGS games, but the way this looks, along with Platinum's involvement, probably means I'll definately be playing it somewhere down the line. Especially getting to try out all those fancy cutting physics.

Injustice - Gods Among Us: The Mortal Kombat reboot was pretty much the best fighting game of this generation, in my opinion, and this looks even better. Even if it's a little too front loaded with Batman characters so far, it looks like a ton of fun to play, with a more Capcom/Guilty Gear-based playstyle. And getting to see how Aquaman will work in a fighting game will be great, too.

That, and if MK9 was anything to go by, there's going to be enough single player content to last for at least another six momths.

If you liked the older DmC games at all, you'll probably hate this. I could go into about ten different reasons it looks like it's going to be awful, but that isn't the thread for that.

The only game in the series I've played has been Devil May Cry 4 which I thought was quite fun albeit that I've not played all that much of it yet. After having read some extremely positive things about the PC version of DmC: Devil May Cry I'm now hoping for great things. It seems like you've already decided that you won't like it. I've already pre-purchased the game so will be approaching it with an open mind.

'Fancy cutting physics', huh? I'm surprised Sony haven't paid Konami to make the game as PS4 launch title as that kind of twaddle is right up their street!

I'm really looking forward to GTA39, FF48, Tomb Raider69, Mario 107, FIFA973, Sonic2490 and possibly something bloody original rather than the usual lazy arsed fodder that developers seem to be churning out en-masse.

I would have said Bayonetta 2, but I won't have a Wii U this year, if ever.

That being the case, the only game I'm really looking forward to at the moment is Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture's Killer Is Dead.

There are some rather awesome looking PC only games on the way.

Warface (Crytek) - free-to-play shooter ... but this looks really really good :D :D
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1NelQmI7-A

Trackmania 2: Valley - yes, it's Trackmania 2 again, but it is the new cars/areas - basically an expansion.... but I'm wetting myself with excitement
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9GirKRE0vQ

strike suit zero - ooooh! Now this looks very nice indeed. Space combat with a ship that transforms into a mech type thingy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAUzVDxzQ6k

Slender: The Arrival - I loved the 1st Slender game but this is a full on version of this 'scare-the-crap-out-of-you-em-up.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tenpLSKU-9U

Outlast: another 'scare-the-crap-out-of-you-em-up'!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GPf3MdVOKI

0x10c - well, it's by Mr Minecraft so it must be somewhere up there with the 'Want' list :) Space Combat
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlfRh9Tqeec

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs - the follow up to Amnesia: Dark decent.... That game was brilliant - this is looking better :o
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxwAGB6Tos0

Command & Conquer - a reboot! Fingers crossed this is good. We need a new RTS that is good!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjZEInQZA0c

Don’t Starve - this is a brilliant survival game. Been playing the beta and it is really addictive. (just ask Darran!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJDMnD6h2aw

Nice! I bought Trackmania2: Canyons some time ago and despite the frustrating difficulty level at times have enjoyed it immensely. Definitely looking forward to this new one. :D

+1 :D

I'd say Windows PC is now the gaming platform to own and will be for some time to come given that PS4/next Xbox's specs will very likely only match a current upper middle of the range gaming PC. The next-gen Gran Turismo and FORZA games will do well to match the graphics of the likes of this new Trackmania game - a game produced by a relatively tiny games dev' with only a fraction of the money/resources that the Sony-owned Polyphony Digital has.
