Everyone loves a list koop, you big grinch! ;)

Here are the games I first played on the consoles that I bought/was given when they were current:

Acorn Electron - Repton - The falling boulders used to make me poo my little pants.
Amstrad CPC 464 - Barbarian - You had me at "YEN!" Love at first decapitation.
Atari ST - Golden Axe (demo) - I played that first level over and over and over. By the time I got the full release 3 months later, I could complete it on one credit! :D
Game Boy - Tetris - Well, duh.
SNES - Super Mario All Stars (Mario 3 to be precise) - I couldn't believe there was a Mario game out better than SMW. Mind blown.
N64 - Mario 64 - One of the best games I've ever played. The one reason I bought a N64. Luckily, Rare and Pierce Brosnan would provide another sooner or later.
Dreamcast - Sonic Adventure - the whale chase may have been the sole reason I bought this little white cuboidal beauty. MSR was second, but got WAY more play time.
XBox - Halo - The huge, open levels and large scale battles made you feel like you part of something really big. Something the franchise forgot to do with later iterations. :(
Xbox 360 - Oblivion - This was a must-buy after living inside Morrowind for half a year, and it was brilliant, but lacked the spark and nuttiness of MW. But it did have Picard. Swings and roundabouts.
Nintendo DS - Cooking Mama - I censored you not, this was the game that showed me that touch screen gaming was viable.
Nintendo Wii - Wii Sports - Bought purely as a toy for when mates and kiddies come round, I got seriously obsessive about bowling. RSI soon put a stop to that.
iPad - Infinity Blade - Got a new iPad? Want to see something flashy on it? Wish you were playing Punch Out! instead?

Somewhere in all that mess belongs the PC my mum bought along with Command & Conquer. That was like looking in on a whole new world of gaming possibilities.

EDIT: I forgot the Gamecube, for shame! That honour belongs to Super Monkey Ball - ridiculous, devious, but always heaps of fun
The Joy of STicks - YouTube - Blog - Twitter - Facebook
New Developments and old inspirations in Atari ST gaming.
