Sega Dreamcast - owned by God??

Post by DoraemonTheCat » Thu Dec 13, 2012 7:42 pm

Ok, so maybe not

But, can anyone explain to me what is going on with the price??

Fair enough, it's in Mint / New condition - but would you pay the current bid price?

sort of disagree - the seller has a track record of selling consoles - look at the feedback for the Jaguar he sold (for £150) - and I too checked both the high bidder accounts - it show's how much activity they have had with the seller - neither seem that suspect - ok, maybe the bidder with less feedback.

Some shill bidders, don't realise that other users can check the "Bid activity (%) with this seller:" which is good, cause when you see 100% coupled with the fact that they have bid on 10+ items, then you know to steer clear.

Sadly, alot of other shill bidders use the "private listing" status to hide potential cheating.

I mean, can ANYONE give me a genuine reason why you would need to list anything gaming related, as a private listing. I wouldn't bid on any game or console that has private listing status. eBay actually prevents other members IDs from being shown, unlike a few years back.

And several years ago, there was a page you could use on eBay that showed any members bid history. Then eBay removed it.

That Jag cost way too much, £50-70 is more typical.

Actually that price for the Jaguar is spot on given that it's brand new and boxed.

I sold a loose Jag recently for £60.

yes that looks very dodgy.

i bought a brand new DC on ebay it was the one where they put 3 games and a vmu in the box. cost me £60 including postage.

i imagine you might pay double that, but £920 is a joke.

i would it's shill bidding, or the highest bidder won't pay (highest bidder has 0 feedback) or the highest bidder will pay by credit card through paypal and do a chargeback.

Crikey - mind you my Jag valuations may be skewed by how cheap I got mine!

The last MINT as NEW DC I saw sell on eBay went for the same as the Jag, around £150 - which I think is a fair price considering it's condition. Think the Jag went for a fair price, reckon that £120-£130 would be about right
