Yeah I think so. I remember it being a smallish gap, but my character would bang his head as he jumped it causing him to drop below.

AVOID: Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Strider

LOVE: Outrun, After Burner II, Space Harrier (notice a theme?)

PCE Thunderblade, Shinobi and Fantasy Zone are good too.

I hated Thunderblade. Passed it in to Shinobi as I couldn't get on with it. Wouldn't mind Fantasy Zone although there are loads others on my list before that given that I've played other versions.

Shmups seem to ne a strong point for PCE. Amazed at how fantastic Super Star Soldier looks. Final Blaster and Kyukyoku Tiger are also fantastic. Plenty more I'd like to try too

I'm sure most of you already know but just in case, and for what it's worth, I highly recommend the following:

Ninja Spirit - Brilliant platformer with lovely graphics and sound.
Final Match Tennis - Simply the best tennis sim ever programmed. This isn't imo, this is fact
Vigilante - It's basically kung fu master, but looks and sounds great. It's always been a guilty pleasure of mine has Vigilante.
Moto Roader - Take the time to get used to the quirky controls. They are quite intuitive once mastered, choose option B iirc. This game is far better than it appears once you scratch below its surface.
Moto Roader 2 - Still good, but 1 is better imo.
Legendary Axe 2 - A lovely game.
Legendary Axe 1 - Not as good as 2 but still well worth anybody's time.
Y's - Awesome.
Deep Blue - Just kidding.

Good choices above.

Final Lap Twin has a quirky RPG quest centered around racing as the "battles".

^ that's brilliant

have to say my purchases have slowed for PCE after buying up so many cheap games. Auctions are quite rare or often start to high for my liking. Not a fan of HuCard only listings either.

Would like some more multiplayer games to utilize the multitap more and wouldn't mind trying Battle Lode Runner. Problem is I've never seen a listing that isn't ridiculously high in price :(

I finally found an affordable PCE version of Cotton. The USA version is now fetching hundreds, and even PCE version is getting up to 150+ lately. I found it for $60 in perfect condition and had to scoop it up.

Also, i have been skowly working on a TG cab. This was a beat up Assault cab I picked up and stripped down. Some people thought i was crazy, but it was not repairable when i bought it. I bought the cab for $10 at a local auction. As i was taking it apart, i was able to get the joystick panel off cleanly and i threw it in ebay figuring somebody could get use out of it. I listed it for $20 starting bid and it sold for $286.

I have hollowed out the shell, sanded the sides and put a coat of primer on it. It will be black when finished.
I had the marquee made at a local sign shop.

Love seeing these cabinet projects come together. Looks like you have made a good start.

I need to get back into my PCE. Never did get some of the titles I wanted for it

Great looking Cab!

Yes, haven't given the PCE much love, but it's never out of mind...it sits in a drawer awaiting a good R type session. Haven't added much to the collection in months, but will soon :)

Been playing a lot of PCE games via emulation recently, Galaga 88 mainly.

Keep looking out for a cheap console so I can play the game properly, but the prices are a little daft at the moment.

What price are you willing to pay?

Mine was £60 boxed (PAL model from Consolegoods), I doubt you're gonna get one cheaper than that at the moment.
