Don't forget there was not a lot of stock of the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess from day one hence still being a £50-ish game, so it could be possible scalpers might take advantage of it.

Thanks guys, I've gone with base.com, seems like a good price considering. At this point I think it's probably a good idea to get the Wii U version while you can, I'm not planning on getting a Switch immediately anyway, and when I do the Switch version of Zelda should be easy enough to pick up should I want it. I took the same approach with Twilight Princess.

I don't expect to get around to playing it for months, but have ordered Zelda to be on the safe side, £39.75 from Gameseek.

50 sheets is a lot for a game, but I guess it's a pretty big one.

I've never pre-ordered from Gameseek before, I assume they're pretty reliable, yes, not like Zavi and the like who will just pull the plug when they realise they could've charged a bit more.

I personally would never touch anything from Gameseek, I have had a couple of pre orders with them that were never delivered, they took the money, and then nothing, release date came and went, with no communication, had to get Paypal to refund, they seem to put cheap prices on to hook people, and then don't have enough stock to fulfil the high amount of orders.

Also know someone who pre ordered the NES mini from them, and had exactly the same problem.

Cheers for that, I sort of feared that might be the case.

I might just press order from Tescos it's £48 but I can pick it up from across the road & I'd get the clubcard points.

I've had 'Zelda WiiU' pre-ordered with Amazon since I first bought the console!
My order was updated to Breath of the Wild when the title announcement was first made and it's currently saying I'll have it by 3rd March. Because of the pre-order price guarantee I should be paying £35 for it.

I pre-ordered it on 23rd Jan and I think it went out of stock a few days later so I guess they sold their expected allocation of copies and weren't prepared to take more orders that they might no be able to fulfil.

My order status is showing that it will be delivered on Friday so it hasn't been cancelled at the very least!

Oh and as for the price? It was £40 on Amazon and I think it was £35 previously for anybody lucky enough to get it ordered then and take advantage of the price guarantee. Surprised places are trying their luck at £50 but maybe they are trying to play on fears of a stock shortage and hope people will just order it anyway to be safe. In fairness, I don't think there will be masses of copies out there compared to Switch copies. I highly doubt they will do a second print run either when it's the Switch version that they will want to be focusing on the most.

I think the Wii U version will be a very limited release just Nintendo keeping Wii U owners sweet.. I hear the Switch Zelda is supposed to be the superior version but not read up anything about it.. Hopefully Shopto don't cancel my order they tend to send games a few days early

Shopto have already taken my money for my Switch console, Zelda and Super Bomberman R... apparently they're sending all consoles out via DPD next day delivery... so l'll probably receive everything on Friday rather than the usual Wed/Thur before.

Getting excited now! :D

Yes, surprising that the machine is still going but it is soldiering on. There are still a few eShop games planned too.
