If you buy Mariokart on Wii U and register it on Club Nintendo.Nintendo are giving away a code for a free game.

You can choose from 10 titles.

The 10 Wii U games featured in the promotion are Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, GAME & WARIO, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Sonic Lost World, Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and Wii Party U.

it applies to any version of marikart 8, bought from any retailer.

Pokemon trademarks have appeared which could be linked to the mystery Pokemon game.

Might be interesting if its a beat em up. Would of liked another Pokemon Stadium type game, but this could be fun.

Nintendo's free game offer is amazing, so good in fact that i've now got 3 copy's of Mario Kart 8 pre ordered!
get the free game codes out of 2 of them and trade them straight back in..

Now I just need to decide which 3 games to download :D

Just a word of caution: I tried that same thing with Nintendo's 'Too Many Games!' 3DS promo last year, and found that Club Nintendo only lets you register a Stars Catalogue code once for any game to a single NNID account. With this in mind, I don't think Club Nintendo is likely to accept more than one code for Mario Kart 8, and thus you'd only be entitled to one free game.

Correct. You'll only be able to register one copy of Mario Kart 8 to your account, and the free game download code you get will also be tied to your account/NNID, so you won't be able to set up dummy Nintendo VIP accounts to get more than one code either. Best cancel a couple of those preorders, TheNewMonkey.

I already knew that only 1 stars code could be redeemed per club nintendo account but We're did you read that only 1 free game can be tied to your nnid?

I've done this a few time with 3ds promotions and everything been fine, it's normally just a dlc code they email you in the end that can be redeemed on any account, has this changed?

I think I'll pick up Wind Waker HD out of that list, it's the only Zelda game I've played before, even if it was only for half an hour.

Another speed boosting firmware update is on the way, including a Quick Boot menu.

I havnt really been on my Wii u much as i have been working all the hours avaliable.
I only turn it on to look at youtube.

This is not knocking the wii u as its a wonderful bit of kit and im so glad ive got 1.

I still have a backlog of games needing to be completed and also still have the batman arkham origins wrapped up.
I must admit i have completed (not 100%) Lego city undercover. That was a brilliant game and the first lego game i have played thoughraly recommended :)

This quick boot thingy seems cool but i have to say I didnt even notice the WiiU had a slow boot up.

I find it pretty painful so I'm pleased they are dramatically improving things.
