A Japan Only Direct aired this morning with a couple of reveals.

*Mario and Sonic 2016 Olympics is happening on Wii U and 3DS. Includes Rugby and Golf and probably the only sports title we're getting for awhile...

*First footage of Bandai Namco's Free to Play Project Treasure game. Looks pretty decent http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/0 ... e_on_wii_u
3DS FC= 0301-9774-9044

Mmmmm. Not sure yet myself. Never got into online shooters despite spending a fair few hours with CoD, thought this would be the game to do it for me but not yet. The paint mechanic does make it feel different but I'm still not sold on it.

I never liked online shooters (or shooters full stop to be honest).
I'm finding Splatoon incredibly fun though. The whole thing is just so cool and I love buying all the equipment and trying out the various weapons. And if you don't like shooting, go with the roller!

Wish I could afford it. Not into FPSs but I like most other kinds and Splatoon looks gallons of fun.

It's only 29.99 in Sainsburys if it helps.

Sadly not cheap enough for me!

As a Yoshi fan, tho, I am getting Woolly World, including green Yoshi amiibo.

Tempted but even £25 is a lot when you're on the dole. It'll have to wait.

I've been really, really disappointed with Splatoon so far - I just don't find it much fun.

I was so disappointed I had to go and get Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze as well!

Is Unepic any good??

ha! great pics. i've been wondering how people go about creating those, seen them every now and then but couldn't figure out how they were done.

some initial reports are saying splatoon is doing well in japan, like really well over there.

thanks man! these were just drawn, i used character references and just elaborated on them. most of the poses can be found in official art on google images although with a couple like the kirby with the squid hat that was more or less all me.

I hear Japan have had trouble with getting enough stock! Splatoon is looking to be one of Nintendo's biggest new IP's in ages!

yea it looks like its a real success, virtually selling out stock and also shifting units of the console too. thats great for a new IP, its really encouraging for the future of splatoon and also for the wii u's sales in general.

I must spend more time with splatoon..I haven't enjoyed it much however everyone else seems to love it so I must be missing the point...
