Same here.
I get mildly irked by people bigging up particular machines or re-writing history on behalf of companies, but anything you can play a game on is good by me.

Never like Amstrad, probably because of Alan Sugar coming along and turning my beloved Spectrum into a plastic monstrosity. I mean just compare Sir C's 128k Spectrum with Sugar's +2

As a kid I never really grew up with any sort of bias or hate toward a certain manfuacturor - I got what I was given and was thoroughly grateful for it. Most kids in school had the same systems, it wasn't until high school with the PSCubeBox that a little rivalry popped up.
I can't f*cking stand Microsoft these days, I used to love them to bits but literally every decision they've made this gen has worsened them in my eyes.

Same. I never met a machine I didn't like, and had fun on. But- I do admit I have been a little OTT harsh on the Amstrad 8 bits. You live and learn, in hindsight the computers had way more decent game than I gave it credit for, due to a lack of games in our area of the world. Amstrad- I'm sorry!
I feel better, kinda cleansed

some kids are insanely good on Halo, my 10 year old cousin kicks my ass all the time.[/quote]
OMFG, the main time I feel my age is taking a kid on at a FPS. My nephew had me playing Timesplitters and just SLAUGHTERED me

Life's too short to go around disliking consoles or companies.
Not too short to go around disliking games though. The Final Fantasy series has... protagonists with interesting hairstyles.

Must admit to having had a fierce anti-Nintendo bias back in the day (my schoolmates and I all being Megadrive owners). Now that we're no longer in the school playground though, and the days of arguing with classmates over whose consoles/computers are better than whose are long gone, I really don't see how some people can still 'hate' a particular games company.
For me, in the years since since leaving school it's been great getting into the Mario series, Zelda series, some of the superb RPGs the SNES had to offer, couple of great racers on the N64 etc.

When you think you've got problems you don't really need,
They're maybe not as bad as they seem,
Cos in a world full of misery, with hatred and greed,
Your problems are another man's dream.

I'm impressed that you managed to write Capcom without putting an r in as the second letter.
