I loved the original it felt very tactical, I used to play it till my fingers blistered and people gazed in amazement at my skills at unleashing psycho fires and dragon punches, the pressure pad version was crap though.

personally I'd like something like the PS2 anniversary addition the Japanese got.. Mouse Mat with all the female characters, Chun Li figure DVD of all the gamest replays basically Japanese people beating everybody with perfects both rounds and forcing double knock outsfor the other 6, and the awesome Final Fight 1 life replay.. The second dvd had the Tournement with Justin Wong etc, the pal release was poor

I'd like not just Alpha 3 HD, but HD updates for Alpha 1 and 2 as well wither as a package or individually.

Can't possible be another SFII update, unless they remake the whole thing using SFIV graphics...

SFIV is pretty much SFII, with new bits, no?. This fact was fundamental to its success, it cruised by on nostalgia, and kapowed with an awesome game underneath, that can be played like SFII, but has a lot more to offer.

It has to be a remake of the original, surely. Street Fighter II has already been milked to death over and over by Capcom even back in the day never mind since.

I dont think they have many options with what they can do. SFII has been done to beyond death, SFIII is up online, they dont have the rights to Ex Plus Alpha and simply addimg more characters to SFIV would be somewhat underwhelming.

Stree Fighter Alpha 3 Online Edition seems like a good bet, or some kind of compilation limited collectors package of some sort.

Street Fighter versus Renegade versus Double Dragon versus Bad Dudes versus Ninja Warriors.

You know it makes sense.

Street Fighter X Rise of the Robots - you heard it here first

Is the original worth remaking though? What would it have to offer over subsequent iterations in the franchise? They'd have to really update it to a level where it probably wouldn't even resemble the original thing anymore.

I'd like to see a release of the original with a pressure pad controller, I'd be all over that!
