It's true!

Then again, Wii games still seem to be shifting in decent quantities, so I suspect people are just buying those rather than the overpriced tat that the Wii U was launched with.

Too funny!

To be fair to Nintendo it could be said that they're following industry practice. Those here who bought a PS3 at or around the console's launch may recall how poor its firmware was at the time plus all those 'PS3 haz no gamez' jolly japes on teh internets at the time.

I'm more annoyed that Ninja Gaiden is no longer exclusive. I wanted to pick that up the other day and couldn't find it any less than £47.99. Knowing this will launch on the other systems much cheaper is super frustrating
I think the main point is that the guys who developed Rayman had to pretty much work their bollocks off to get it ready for a Late-Jan/Early Feb release, only to be told that even though it's 100% complete it's being held until September. So the blood, sweat and tears shed to bring it to market so early (at the PUBLISHERS request!) was basically for nothing. No wonder the guy quit afterwards.

Plus, as for multi-platform titles; the only problem I have is when games are deliberately crippled so they can appear "sort of the same" across each piece of hardware, instead of playing to each device's particular strengths.

Oh well. :|

Grainger Games' website selling the Wii U Premium Pack (black) inc. Nintendo Land for £238.99 -

Not quite as low a price as myself and others here bought our Wii Us for from zavvi Outlet but a nice price all the same, imho.

Give it another six months and you'll probably be able to buy HMV for under £200.

Have you found that a lot of people still haven't heard of the Wii U?

Nintendo have been so stupid by not advertising the console and relying on word of mouth.

I was sick of all the Microsoft and Sony adverts over xmas, but at least they were trying.
Nintendo had something seriously new to shout about and all they could manage was a paltry mario wii u advert that didnt explain the console and was shown about twice.

They dug their own grave with that one. If people new that it existed, it would have flew off the shelves at xmas and none of these games would be cancelled/delayed/mutiplatformed.
Please look at my Ebay shop. Specialising in Japanese retro games as well as PAL. All carts cleaned. Always the cheapest too!

I like mine for parties and friends but outside of that, I don't ever find myself playing it for single player titles. I might get rid of it, might keep it. Haven't decided yet.

I think my jumping on price will be £150. Don't know how long that will take though.

Snap. I don't think it will take too much longer for the basic pack to drop that low given current sales. I've got more than enough games to be getting on with in the meantime and I want to see a proper response from Nintendo that addresses their many failings currently. It took Sony a good 18 months to do that with the PS3 so I can wait...

I am genuinely shocked at how poor the third party support is for it. Other than a few token ports that nobody cares about (who doesn't own a PS3/360 at this point?) there is literally nothing for the whole year. Hopefully things pick up a bit at E3 but with sales as they are I assume that a lot of unannounced projects that were Wii U exclusive are being turned into multi-format games.
