If I'm remembering it correctly then it's like Rayman all over again when that Atari Jaguar game was delayed so to allow the PlayStation version to be finished. Does that make Wii U the new Jaguar? :o
Given how superior the Jag version is to the PS1 version you can but hope ;)
Not an entirely unpredictable response from your good self!

Third Parties can't survive on single-console exclusives. At least not until the hardware numbers are there. It's a horrible system, and needs to end, but it's been there since the first cartridge was produced and the first Publisher realised they were the ones in control.

Consoles need a vibrant PC-style Indie scene. The problem is the console owners control their content delivery system so much that it's impossible to have an Indie scene. Why make 30p on £1 games when they can go for the lion's share of a £50 title? Plus all that lovely DLC! :|

There's a reason why games companies need console sales; the user base of more "casual" gamers is huge and valuable. No company makes PC-only AAA games anymore, because they'd miss out on this userbase. And also, PC gaming has been decimated by PC gamers themselves, who pirate software to a depressing degree, then moan about "dumbed-down" ports. Consoles are "locked out" to ensure piracy is kept to a minimum and they can actually make any money from games they've invested huge amounts of money in. cf Crytek.

I don't give a fck about indie games or cheapo, play once and throw-away crap. I buy maybe two or three titles a year, and it's the likes of Mass Effect, Skyrim and Halo I enjoy, and am happy to pay £40 for.

I'm not bothered about the delay on Rayman, I never was a big fan of the franchise tbh...

I'm more annoyed that Ninja Gaiden is no longer exclusive. I wanted to pick that up the other day and couldn't find it any less than £47.99. Knowing this will launch on the other systems much cheaper is super frustrating

Why do you care if a game is exclusive or not? Because when you see it running on the the 360 or the ps3 it's always better? That seems rather shallow.

The release schedule for wii u is getting silly now. I've just saved up enough to buy one but it seems there's nothing out until next xmas. I don't think nintendo can afford to just sit around until E3, we need some game announcements fast.

To be fair he made it clear that the PS3/360 versions will probably be much cheaper than the wii u version (which they will be by £10 - £15) there is little incentive to buy the wii u version now. There are also extra bits on the upgoing PS3 / 360 versions not on the wii u version.

This, I don't care that other consoles have it, I care that they're getting additional content and paying at least £15 less than I am.

I love how Team Ninja work though! Release a broken game on PS360, update it to be decent on Wii U, update it again to be goo don PS360  have they not heard of beta testing?

Maybe they're taking inspiration from Nintendo by following its lead!

Release Wii U console missing advertised features... Day one 1GB firmware patch... Patch still leaves console riddled with issues... Promise more firmware patches for next Spring and Summer to fix problems that shouldn't exist were console to have been tested properly in the first place.

Haha, possible!

I traded in for my Wii U and bought it fully expecting shoddy hardware & hardly any games. In that light, I'm not at all disappointed. Much like my Wii, if I only play it once every few months with a few mates on Nintendoland or Mario Bros then it'll serve it's purpose.

Not to say I wouldn't LIKE more games though...

What's all this crazy talk of Vita software outselling Wii U software in January?
