I would have loved to include a load of others like Head Over Heels, Wizball, Robocop, Addams Family, Turrican 1 and 2, Midnight Resistance, Chase HQ, Wec Le Mans... and Count Duckula as the first game I ever completed.

Switchblade - 10 points
Batman - 9 points
Solomon’s Key - 8 points
Edge Grinder - 7 points
Into the Eagles Nest - 6 points
Space Crusade - 5 points
Exolon - 4 points
Bubble Bobble - 3 points
Barbarian (Palace Software) -2 points
Fantasy World Dizzy - 1 point

 My Amstrad exp. limited (my friends had good taste in 8 Bit micros), but i'm going for:

Gryzor. Batman. Stunt Car Racer. Rebelstar. Ikari Warriors.

Sacred Armour Of Antiriad. Barbarian:Ultimate Warrior. Driller. Starglider and i'd love to add the 128K R-Type remake, but not sure if that's allowed?.

All excellent selections there. See, it wasn't that hard at all, was it?

I don't see why the R-Type remake wouldn't be allowed; however, homebrew rarely tends to figure in lists like this so you'd probably be better off voting for another game from back in the day.
