Being able to tell Jeff Minter in person that his stuff is great gave me a tingle in places where i didn't know I had places.

I didn't have time to play any games, but I really enjoyed the social side. Nice to meet a lot of the guys on here and Amibay of course. Next year I will definitely get a go on Smash TV.....

Meeting members, wish I had played a few more arcade and pinball tables though! :(

I played more games (particularly pinball) this year than I did last year, but to be honest the reason it's such a great event is a combination of all three - playing, socialising and talking to the people who helped make this industry so great.

Come on guys, there must be more of you with nice things to say about the event :) Otherwise I'll just take some comments from the official thread :)

I can play consoles at home but took the opportunity to get as much pinball and arcade action in as possible whilst I had the chance! I also particularly enjoyed meeting up with people from different gaming communities, including RG.

I'm not historically a pinball guy but I loved the raw mechanical feeling of playing on a real table, as well as the sheer noise and light spectacle. There were so many pins this year too! I think Firepower II was my favourite, with all the traditional Williams noises. Also, I was in the same hotel as the Northern Lights crew - really nice guys.

Only went for the Saturday, so thought I'd sack off the gaming side and just catch up with everyone. Still played a bit of pinball though, all those flashing lights and what-not - you can't avoid it really!

The event was full on awesome! We were supposed to run a Doom comp on Saturday and a Quake comp on Sunday (but the PC's didn't arrive) so ended up doing a Doom 3 comp on the Xbox!!
Played on more systems than I usually do (especially Manic Miner on the ZX81 - that was amazing and has to be the hardest version ever). Was on the door for a short time and seemed to get asked loads of questions by attendees - and it was great to help.
Was first on the scene as a first aider - hope the chap is ok (he is a forumite here)........

But most importantly, meeting the forum members was as ever the best part.

Oh, and barging in on Darran being interviewed in the press room and not really taking any notice - until I realised what was going on!!!!

Roll on 2012 (and hope to be Reply Crew again - as that was cool)....

Didn't manage to play a single game but this didn't bother me at all as I loved helping out on mohicankid's stall.

I still managed to say hello to loads of people and actually had time to talk (or croak on Sunday due to losing my voice after talking too much on Saturday) to a few in a particular.

For me the soical interaction and in my case doing my bit to help a great guy raise money for charity is what it's all about.

Can't wait for next year and hope I'll meet some of the forum members who I unfortuantely missed this year :D

and Markopoloman, the fellow forumite who had to go to hospital is ok too :D

Meeting Roger Kean and Oli Frey of Newsfield/Crash/Zzap64/Amtix fame. As I've been reading Crash since my 14th birthday I was somewhat awestruck to be actually meeting them. Great blokes and an absolute pleasure to talk to.

The same could be said about meeting a certain Mr Jones.
