Why don't they remake

Post by SirClive » Fri Jan 13, 2006 3:11 pm

A candidate would have to be Ghostbusters and I would love to see some coverage of the game in RG.

If anyone from Activision is listening and they still have the license, "I WANT A NEW GHOSTBUSTERS GAME" (and a new film if you can help on that score!!!)

Funny you should say that. Pester this guy so he doesn't give up.

As for Ghostbusters, there's an article on the movie and the game on every format in issue zero of Retrofusion if you were interested.

I would love to see a remake of Underwurlde. It seems that pretty much all of Ultimates best have been remade except this.

Would also like to see some classics ported to othyer platforms, e.g ELITE for the PSX / PS2??

Regards :D

I was involved in the design layout of the News/SFII pages and wrote the Remakes article. I don't like blatently hyping up other websites on someone else's forum, so I just give out the information that I think may be of use. ...and that's why there's no tag of 'buy it, it's great'. There's plenty of feedback, both positive & negative out there so I'll let you make your own mind up ;)

Back on topic, wasn't Hostile Waters a commercial update of Carrier Command? If I'm right, you may want to check that out, or any of these other remakes-in-progress...

I don't agree, two dimensions are usually better than three as far as I'm concerned.

I think a few modern 3d games might be improved were they to be given a 2d remake.
