Being a bit clumsy, I dropped my Atari Lynx 1, and when my attempt to catch it failed, I trapped it against a cabinet with my knee, unfortunately I only served to ram it against one of the handles, heavily scratching the screen, it would have landed on a soft carpet if it had been allowed to fall!
My Sega Nomad needed a new screen, and rather than dismantle it, I thought I could prize it up from the edge, the knife slipped of course, and put a massive cut right across to the second fire button, I luckily bought a broken one off e-bay and replaced the case, now that was really stupid.

The number of speccy games taken out of the tape machine and flung at high speed at my bedroom wall probably went into the dozens! I was basically a serial killer, a genocidal maniac for Spectrum tapes.

It's probably a tie between forgetting to power a C64 down before trying to remove the VIC-II shielding with a metal screwdriver or mis-timing the hot swap when soft modding an Xbox so the hard drive died - one was nearly twenty years ago, the other happened on Monday. =-)

^ The C64 is by far the more heinous crime

haha, these are all making me feel better about all the various things I've destroyed. I also have a friend who has like millions of wii and 360 pads in various bits due to flinging them against walls or smashing them against the ground repeatedly.... the psycho...

using Solomons Key NES cart as a baseball
seeing the article in a recent copy of Retro Gamer brought back nightmares.
I thought about filing a lawsuit for abuse.

My 2 year old sister ran in front of the TV while i was playing the Metal Slug Anthology on Wii. I was using a Gamecube controller, she got caught on the cable and took the wii with her, smashing it into our fireplace.
It still works but ever since then it makes a terrible grinding sound. Not technically MY fault but i suppose i should have considered the possibility of an accident happening with a baby running about.

I asked for orange. It gave me lemon lime!

I did have a Wii controller on the wrong end of being launched out of a friends hand.
hit my projector screen. no damage to screen, but controller doesn't seem to calibrate correctly now.

On 2nd December 2005 I moved my Xbox 360 from erect to flaccid and it RLOD'd. Yes that was launch day.

eager to play my Lynx II I had just bought from a friend I plugged in the classic mutlivoltage adapter, not paying much attention, whacked it in, switched it on, cried when the screen went 'pop' and I was left with pure white screen....damn it. It was another 8 years before I bought another Lynx.
Now Im super careful when using replacement power packs etc

Dropped a DS Lite climbing down the ladder from my games room, screen smashed it to bits, had it about a fortnight.

Spilt a bottle of Miller down the back of my PS2 back in the days they still cost over £200. It's only worked with a handful of games since, and makes horrible, horrible noises every time I turn it on.

Chucked an Atari Lynx against the wall in annoyance at one of the games (cant remember which one, this was nearly 20 years ago) - totally knackered the screen - worst thing was, it was my older brothers Lynx.......i remember telling him the dog trod on it
