I wish they'd get with the 21st century and just make the thing region-free. At least if Sony and Microsoft can manage it with their consoles, I'm sure the barriers to doing so for Nintendo aren't insurmountable.

Once again though, it's NoA proving that they're the part that vaguely comprehends marketing. It beggars belief that the rest of the company just don't seem to want to be involved with this.

thanks for posting this, you might be right there. personally, I don't really want to chance it incase it goes up in price I have never played the original, theres been some great games coming out recently for the 3ds. I was disappointed with last years drought, seems things have turned around a bit in 2015! quite a few ones I am interested in. looks like I will be getting myself the new hardware at some point.

Ok, I've had my New 3DS XL for about 2 weeks now, and I am really in two minds about how I feel about it. For some reason it just feels completely awkward to hold. For one thing, my hands cramp up around the curvy edges after only a few minutes (never happened with my launch 3ds) which I could handle to be honest, if it weren't for the second issue, which is the way my fingers naturally rest on both the volume and 3d control. Every now and then, and fingers may inadvertently slide the volume or 3D causing me to lose my concentration or irritate me. What sort of idiot decided to place them at the exact place peoples fingers are likely to rest?

Am I the only one who is having these problems?

Yeah I found the the old XL was too big (or at least, too uncomfortable) so went for the smaller New 3DS.

I just sold mine too (XL). It's a great machine for sure, but I just haven't used it in ages. I always like the idea of handheld machines but ultimately I very rarely use them. And as you say, I got wimpy lil hands and found the XL a bit uncomfortable for me, cramps etc.

Doubt I'll get another handheld aside from if I find a good handheld loaded with MAME. That relies on someone elses smarts

For any Dragonball fans out there, there's a New 3DS bundle coming with the new game which includes a DB Faceplate and a download code for a Super Famicom DB game...in Japanese only.

Thinking of getting a 3ds xl nearer the end of the year as by then there will be a few titles out that I want. Sold my normal 3ds due to a dry spell in game releases. Saw this in game the other day and was wondering if its any good. Look interesting but it may be just another match 3 game.

Anybody played this?

It's very good with a lot of hidden depth - also it's great to choose between the original game and a Mario clone of it. Just be aware that there are some high difficulty spikes that are frustrating as they often require a bit of grinding to overcome.

Yes, it's fantastic as you might expect. You get the original Megadrive game, with 3D added and lots of customisable options. An absolute steal at £4.49!
