Again, I agree. The visuals are really poor, they should have stuck with 2D. The gameplay is also a chore - it just feels like you're constantly just climbing back up from where you fall because the level design is awful.

I've also been playing the new Fire Emblem quite a bit - it's really really good. It actually makes you care about your characters and it's all brought together by a well scripted story line. Probably one of the best 3DS games so far.[/quote]

I was disappointed really. I played the hell out of Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin & Order of Ecclesia on the original DS. Oh well, there's always next time!

Good to hear that you're enjoying Fire Emblem! I've got that one in the 'to play' pile :)

I' had a go on NSMB 2 clearing the first world. It's exactly what I expected. Tight platforming, inventive level design and a definite 'been there done that' feeling. Can't fault it!

I then played Pokemon Rumble (whatever it's called) and it is absolutely awful. to call it gameplay would be an insult to every other game in existence.

Considering Pokemon's launching worldwide on the same day, I can hardly complain.

You can probably add the new Yoshi game to the list.

I'm tempted by Animal Crossing... My daughter would love it... and means I almost ready for my free game!!

I don't "get" animal crossing, but I'm willing to give it a go.

Oh well, there's whatever 3rd party and eShop games that are out this year if we finish our backlogs. XD Lord knows I never will. XD

Animal Crossing arrived as well. Not too bad on the newer features so far.

Very disappointed with that. I was hoping for a Metroid, SSB, F-Zero. And wishing for Waverace/Excitebike/1080 racers, and I still cry for a really good version of Doom 1/2 (The PS1 version spruced up would be great)!
I'll see what the Zelda's like, the rest I'm not interested in. Seriously Nintendo, maybe you should make an online suggestion box :)

Just been playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf with a friend online, visiting each other's towns. :)

Really impressed by how silky smooth the connectivity was, compared to the bad old days of constantly seeing 'connection has been lost' with Animal Crossing Wild World on the DS.

If anyone wants to share details and visit Catstock (my town), give me a shout.

Made a start on Animal Crossing yesterday and so far I'm loving it! The graphics are absolutely beautiful and all the improved mechanics are immediately obvious. Every little thing that frustrated me about the DS version has been totally fixed this time around.

From the moment I booted the game it just oozed charm, I can't wait to get back to tending to my town later tonight :D
