No real details other then dates and physic/digital, but I would assume its both Wii U titles in 1.

Nothing major, just picked up Angry Birds Star Wars and Tetris 3DS dirt cheap locally. Great toilet games

Little pointless when the New models will be coming next year, but if I ever desire a US 3DS....

Re: 3DS Games discussion/Collecting thread
I do like a bit of Persona but I wouldn't be interested in a special edition of a 3DS now the new model has been announced ... especially since Xenoblade will require the new model.

Another free game promotion is on the way!
http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/0 ... _in_europe
It might be one game per Club Nintendo account, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm sure you guys can work though that somehow. XD

Ah, you've got to register a 3DS console for that promotion.
Re: 3DS Games discussion/Collecting thread
So the Smash Bros demo will be up next week, but for Nintendo Platinum members you can play it now. I got lucky and had a friend kindly give me a spare code. My thoughts on it so far:
I've given the game a quick play, used Link, Mario and of course Megaman.
The controls themselves took a little getting used to. I usually use a Gamecube pad so I just had to quickly relearn which button does what. That didn't take long though.
First off the game looks great. The characters have a cell shaded look to them which works about 100 times better in person that in pictures. Also the 3D is really nicely done and gives the game a great depth of field look. The stage you fight on looks nice as well, the day/night cycle is really nice to watch, when I'm not in the middle of a brawl! Oh, and the frame rate is perfect, even with 4 players on screen with 3D on. Hat's off to the coders as they've done a bang up job on getting this game running insanely well. My only minor complaint is that support and Pokemon are 30FPS, and I only know that as I read it online. Its barely noticeable unless you stand still and watch them.
Mario is still my main man. He's easy to use and hasn't changed a bit. He also proves how tight the controls are, as I picked him up almost instantly and was doing smash moves, evading etc. as if I'd been playing the game for months...
Link likewise feels pretty much just as he did in Brawl. Animal Crossing Villager I didn't use but I did love his moves, I'm impressed that they managed to make him work as a character.
And now Megaman... Where to begin. His sound effects are all lifted from past games (mainly Megaman 2 if I'm not mistaken) even his sound effect moves like the metal blade, crash bomb. His smash moves are awesome too - Spark (from Spark Man), Flame Column (I assume from Flame Man, though with the number of fire bosses you fight...), charged buster shot. All his air moves are different as well - I saw his Fire Sword (Sword Man), Slash Claw (Slash Man) and Air Shooter (Air Man). Then you have his neutral attack (buster shot), running attack (top spin) and the down attack (slide). Nintendo have totally done the character justice and then some.
Oh, and the music rocks.
The support characters rock as well - I've seen Samurai Goro (returning character), Mother Brain and Dark Samus (nice to see more Metroid support, even if you can't play as them), Elec Man from Megaman 1 who fights exactly as he did in MM1 (woo!) and two separate powerups that are retro inspired - an alien based on either Galaxian or Galaga (I always get the two muddled up) and one based on Pong which is awesome and surprising.
Its an excellent game from the demo and I am now stupidly hyped for the full game.

Re: 3DS Games discussion/Collecting thread
I had a quick go this afternoon & it's the first time I've ever played a Smash Bros. game so my thoughts are a bit mixed to be honest. I've never been into fighting games & I'm not sure this will change my mind.
If anyone wants a code, I've got three going spare.

My little brother keeps bugging me to get him a smash demo code. Could I have one? (I've tried PM but the forum keeps breaking when I try to send).Morkin wrote:I had a quick go this afternoon & it's the first time I've ever played a Smash Bros. game so my thoughts are a bit mixed to be honest.
