I've got all the Layton games for the DS and 3DS so far, but Mystery Journey sounds a bit like the poor relation of them. The phone versions had a bit of a reputation for being buggy and with finicky controls too, but maybe they'll fix that on the 3DS.

Anybody getting Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology?

I probably will, never played the DS version but the reviews were glowing.

Definitely! It's out 9th Feb I think... I'd imagine it will become a rare item quite soon after too... i.e. quality RPG near the end of a console's life, sold in small quantities etc.

With that in mind, anyone who hasn't picked up Sega 3D Classics Collection I recommend doing so. For some strange reason it's an Argos exclusive in the UK... get it whilst you still can!

That was my thinking too. I've just pre ordered with Amazon and they have it releasing 16th of Feb.

Detective Pikachu looks great! Out 23rd March 2018.

The Amiibo that goes with it looks amazing too, but it looks like it's sold out already!

Yeah, managed to nab the game and amiibo. Yeah the amiibo looks neat and it larger then other amiibo, but £20? Damn my Pokemon obsession.

Ahh well, better then the £50 or whatever scalpers will want for it I guess....

Do I want this?

Hard to find much about the gameplay., I'm not into Pokemon at all but I do like a bit of Professor Layton.

Been hammering the re-release of Pokemon Crystal Version over the last few weeks...right after I'd just invested 50-60hrs into Silver Version

I was a bit slow catching up with the VC re-releases so by the time I'd finished with Silver, Crystal was put up on the store and of course, I had to have it! Best version of Gen 2 'mon by far.

What is the easiest way to transfer stuff from Diamond/Pearl over to Sun/Moon using Pokemon Bank app? I have literally 10 years worth of trained Pokemon from all the GBA and Gamecube games on my Diamond cartridge but I've read that you need to move them all over to one of the Black/White games as Gen 4 apparently isn't supported by the Bank. Is this right? I haven't played a new Pokemon game since Diamond so I'm looking at skipping straight to Ultra Sun/Moon but I want to ideally bring across the Pokemon I've invested years of training in. Am I really going to have to buy and play one of the Black/White games to make this work?
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Yeah, you have to invest time into transferring the Gen 3 Pokemon to Gen 4 (Which requires a DS that can play GBA games and limited to 6 Pokes a day), then Gen 4 to gen 5 (Needs 2 DS's/3DS's), and then you can use Bank for the rest of the steps (It might be worth transferring something to ORAS as I believe you get a exclusive Secret Base decoration for transferring a Gen 3 Pokemon all the way up to the Gen 3 remakes. )

my (daughter's) 3DS finally broke so I picked up a new 2DS on a whim for myself - which 3DS game work well in 2d?

Probably all of them? Some recent games aren't even bothering with 3D. Did you mostly play with the 3D on?

I only have a 2DS and I don't feel like I'm missing out. There are games that are designed with 3D in mind like Mario 3D Land and Kirby Triple Deluxe, but both play just fine without it. With Kirby a lot of things are coming towards the screen so that can seem a bit unecessary and redundant without the 3D effect, but it doesn't harm the gameplay, and most 2D based games can make you forget the 3D is even a thing.

Kirby sounds like a good place to start. Thanks

A Link Between World is probably another good shout as it's a top-down Zelda, like Kirby it's a "Nintendo Selects" game now too so it's quite cheap.

Similarly Metroid Samus returns is a return to 2D Metroid gameplay.

2D Metroid - I'm in. I never got on with the 3d games in the Prime series.

I think it depends on whether people would buy the Original game really. The original is not that expensive these days.

I got the 3D Classics being a SEGA fan but I recall 365games had it for a limited time shortly after I bought it at Argos.

Anyway, I recommend Stella Glow and 7th Dragon 3 for the 3DS and whilst SMT4A is a good game. Beware of the last dungeon in the game. I was lost on that part for days!!!
SEGA, Falcom and "Niche" Nintendo fan
