There is a very interesting article here which has a very plausible explanation to the problem

The main thing that seems to slow the process down, keep them covered, and do not re-cover them until they have cooled down.

My UK snes is totally free from yellowing on the top, but the bottom that is not covered is completely yellow, My Atari ST is fine on top, but yellow where it is not covered.

My PC-FX is yellow in patches all over, My Dreamcast is slightly yellow on bottom, but bright white under the cover, Acorn Electron, is the same.

My Archimedes has awful yellow keys, but has no cover, BBC B has yellowed slightly, but is covered completely.

None of them is ever exposed to sunlight, but they do of course get warm with use.

Final Boss, Gears of War. Let's make a list eh;

cutscene after the save point
boss with invulnerability shield
battle arena so damn small it eliminates any possability of tactical manouvres
battle area with insta-death "traps"
henchmen pecking your head while your busy fighting MrBig

I pobably forgotten some too

Yep, he was an absolute turd of a boss. I forgot about him.

Cartridge based games that don't allow you to erase saved data. Today I'm looking at you Metal Gear Solid: Ghost Babel, I can start a new game but I can't erase the previous owners records on stages and VR missions, lame.

Collectable items that can be sold in game, only to find out later that you need them for 100% completion and that there's only 2 of them in the entire game and you sold them over 18 hours worth of gameplay ago :evil:

Hahah what game are we talking about here?
As im a horder by nature, i tend to always keep 1 of everything in a game. I get a certain satisfaction from a long inventory list :D

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, the shops now have quests where you supply the shopkeepers with a certain number of items on their list to unlock ammo pouches, extra poisons/medicines, weapons etc.. the blacksmith has armour for which you need various items including 2 shrunken heads, I aquired these pretty early on in the game and sold them when I needed the cash for weapons... needless to say I now need them for 100% completion, I've now had to start a new game... I've alreaded completed the game and was mopping up the extras... good thing it's a joy to play :D

Another thing that annoyed me with the game was the Subject 16 puzzles, I thought the ones in AC2 were hard, these are impossible.... for the last few I had to look online for the soultions for the cipher parts, it's supposedly the fibbonacci sequence whatever that is......

The Fibonacci sequence is where the next number is the sum of the previous two numbers:

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144 and so on...

Yeah that part I could understand, it's when it got into higher numbers the formula suddenly changed from addition to multliplication without any real indication...

Someone else mentioned the end of episode 2 of Half life 2 - with the sticky bombs. That was annoying, frustrating and as unfun as it could be. It totally spoilt the experience.

Football Manager - having a successful season and being forced to play 3 cup finals in 4 days, meaning I was always going to fail. Why punish me for being succesful? GRRRRR

Championship Manager - being an international boss and not having enough under 21 players to field a side . . and leaving me with the only option of quiting.

Tomb Raider - almost all of them - jump, jump, jump, fall, die. Over and over again. The good bits got lost in frustration.
