King of Collectors: Full Playstation 2 NTSC Library Sealed

Post by Xtincthed » Mon Jul 04, 2011 4:44 pm

Hey,

I just finished the interview I had with the only known collector to have a full sealed ntsc Playstation 2 collection (over 1850 games).

The Playstation 2 has one of the most extensive libraries of all consoles, trying to get a complete set is near madness..lbut he went for a complete sealed set!
Wanna know what drives this collector and wanna see his collection?

http://www.playstationcollecting.com/ge ... ary-sealed

Hope you enjoy the read as much as I enjoyed talking to him :)

>Sealed
How dose he know the discs are in them?

Just break the seals on them and play them and dont waste shelf space on things your never going to play

Pretty good... if it was a Japanese set, I'd be more impressed ;)

Hmmm, the PS2 is a worthless piece of censored in my mind but I'm sure people think the same about the Mega Drive and Master System which I love.

Showed this to my wife. Her response?

'Whats the point?'

Sums it up for me. But fair play to the collector.

Unfortunately impossible to say whether fake or not....personally I don't see how he could have everything sealed but whatever. If he does, fair play to him but seriously....there are better things to collect for in my opinion lol!

Still.
Walls of games that he wont play.

This is whats wrong with people that collect sealed games. They wont play them. So why splash the cash?

This is my point with "collectors" why do you enjoy collecting it, if the thing you're collecting is supposed to be used and isn't necessarily great to look at. I mean, yes, game boxes do look awesome side by side etc etc but....99% of the game is opening the sodding thing and playing it....does this guy even know how a PS2 game plays? :p
