Athena. It's one of a batch of SNK games released as PSN Minis.

I've never played it before so I wasn't sure what to expect. So far I'm not as disappointed as some of the hatred this game endures led me to expect I would be.

Tonight I FINALLY beat the Control level on N64 Goldeneye on 00 agent difficulty! I gave up on it after about million attempts back in 2000 and after about twenty goes since I started from scratch on my new N64 I managed to do it. I kept getting to the bit where you have to protect Natalya without getting hit once and with full body armour and still got killed every time, thought I'd never do it, but I did.

It's probably my greatest gaming achievement ever, I don't even care if I finish the game I'm just glad I overcame this frustrating, unfair difficulty spike. Didn't kick the N64 across the room once either :D

Resident Evil DC on ePSXe. It runs really well (after I had a play about and slowed down the FPS from 200 to a respectable 60 :D ). Also, a bit of Die Hard Trilogy and The Raiden Project.
JSW's Guff Emporium! <- My bit of t'internet.

I found a game in mame last night that pleased me no end. It's called The Deep. It's a 1987 sort of reboot kind of thing of the old arcade game Depth Charge. I do like a bit of Depth Charge with its simple gameplay and nostalgic whiff that takes me back to Pontins in Southport circa the very early eighties. I crank up Depth Charge quite often and have a couple of goes before playing something else.

The Deep is to Depth Charge what Battlantis is to Space Invaders I suppose. A mid-eighties attempt to grab a few coins from an old formula that used to work.

The Deep is every bit as nafftastic as Battlantis. It's certainly as hard. Where Depth Charge is a generally soothing sort of game for me I'm finding The Deep to be incredibly annoying but strangely addictive. I think it's going to end up in my Favourites custom folder. Lovely.

Phantasy Star 2. Over a decade ago, I yelled "uncle" halfway through the game due to its relentlessness (and slight tediousness, though that hasn't always made me quit a game)--but it's the ONLY time I have ever quit an RPG due to my lack of balls. Well, a hundred RPGs later, I'm back and now I seek to regain my manhood.

I'm just past the part where Nei dies.

It's starting to get hard again. :(

F-1 Challenge (Saturn) after it arrived yesterday - it's extremely limited and a bit too easy, but it's got something...

What that is I'm not quite sure, but I'm not regretting buying it.

As it's basically just 5, why not.
