Re: Batman games
The very first high profile Batman game was IMO the best: Batman by John Ritman, released by Ocean in 1986 for MSX, Spectrum and Amstrad. It arguably got closest to solving the old atmosphere+gameplay conundrum that many other isometric games had stumbled over. Other Batman games I've played have been alright, like the film tie in in '89, also by Ocean.

I tip my hat to you, sir... well I would if I had one!Jagfest_UK wrote:Really? I have finished it without much of a problem. Rather fine game too, really captures the feel of the movie.Liamh1982 wrote:Batman Returns (Lynx) is the hardest game in the world, probably.
I like Batman Forever on the Saturn too.

Re: Batman games
Batman on the Amiga as part of the Batman Pack that included the also excellent New Zealand Story, did hear the Mega CD version was good though.
Re: Batman games
The original Batman game on the GB Mono for me, just got it this week, after having it years ago.
It's still a great game after all this time.

Always enjoyed playing the NES version of Batman, should really get round to picking it up again.
Thought that Batman Returns on the SNES was a great game and definitely worth a play.
Arkham Asylum is one of my favourite games of the current gen, really looking forward to Arkham City.

Re: Batman games
Amiga version of Batman the Movie for me. At the time there had been nothing quite like it in terms of movie licenses and it just blew me away playing it on an A500 for the first time. It was actually a fairly decent game to boot!

Re: Batman games
Batman Returns on SNES and I'm not saying that because I'm an RG stooge either. The "thunk" sound of bad clowns hitting the background-signposts (stg3) would have me in stiches for hours.

Bumping the thread for the "caped crusader's" glory...
I think Batman on NES is my fave but I have yet to really sink my teeth into more Batman games if I'm honest.

Re: Batman games
Batman on Amstrad was a game I loved as a Kid. Got the cartridge version for the GX4000 so still enjoy a blast now and then.
Other than that, its the Sunsoft one on NES and the scrolling fighter one on Snes.
Did enjoy Arkham asylum but never bothered with the follow ups.

Game Boy's Batman is always fun to play.
I really liked Batman: The Movie on my CPC too. I was a bit jealous of the Amiga/ST users back in the day as their versions had "proper" 3D driving sections.

I have fond memories of the Batman games on the Mega Drive. Returns on Lynx was pretty good also.
