Nope. They've quietly dropped it off there. Its only come out because American gamers who got the game yesterday have started asking where it is

Has anyone announced if they're planning to release it cheap on launch day?

I remember getting MW2 on launch from 'Morrisons' for £26 two years ago and Black Ops last year for £30 from 'Best Buy'.

They're throwing so much money behind this marketing blitz that you can practically smell their desperation!
I don't even know why they're bothering. Almost every person who owns MW2 instantly decided to buy MW3 the second they said it was being made.

I really cant be arsed with the MW series. Imho, these games are only enjoyable online. The single player campaigns are to short, and the developers have resorted to more "shock" moments to generate controversy for sales.

I suck at online on these games, so the longevity is immediately reduced dramatically for me.

Dont get me wrong, im not saying MW games are bad games (i actually find them briefly entertaining), and im not bitter because i get pwned online, but I just cant understand the clamour to own the latest iteration. I hear one yank paid over $1500 for a copy! tw@t

Yep, I never bother with the single player game but the online play is awesome. It's the online that has turned the series into a global phenomenon.

I played Modern Warfare 2 and thoroughly enjoyed the campaign (stupid & cinematic, which was just what I wanted!) then the Spec Ops challenges were sublime, by far some of the best co-op gameplay I experienced that year.

Never got on with the online deathmatch games, it seems to be geared toward the freakishly obsessive...

Got MW2 on release day thanks to a super market price war, will do the same this year if that happens, otherwise it'l be a bargain bin (deffo pre-owned so I can screw activision) buy.
