The second one is Weird Dreams on the ST/Amiga. I remember you had to enter it while halfway through one of the mirrors.
I can't for the life of me remember what it did though. It changed one of the icons to an infinity symbol I think.
You had to tap SOS in morse code using the HELP key, whilst just stepping into the mirror. You would then get infinite lives which would be shown on the main game panel. Some of the box screenshots clearly showed that the cheat was being used to get to some of the levels. I don't think it was me playing it at the time, but it might have been!

YOUREONEUGLYMUTHER - Predator 2 on ST/Amiga - One I came up with! :-)

Turrican (Amiga) - BLUESMOBIL on the high score table for infinite lives. It took me, oh, twenty years to realise it was probably a Blues Brothers reference!

Batman The Movie (Amiga) - JAMMMMMMM

Sonic 1 - up, down, left, right, A+Start

Konami code of course, specifically NES Life Force on the title screen for 30 lives.

It actually was MOTHERF__KENKIWIBASTARD. I learned to type it at the speed of light, definetly improving my typing skills.

Another quick typing string was SYS64738 on the C64, but hey... that wasn't really a cheat code, uh?

Window's Minesweeper: type 'xyzzy' and press shift for a tiny white dot to appear in the upper left corner of the screen. When you pass the mouse pointer over a square with a bomb, the dot disappears.
I just checked, it works on XP's flowered version too.

break key

and GOTO 300 or GOTO 400

(break into the basic in Football Manager on Speccy, 300 or 400 makes the team shoot depending which way your are attacking)

Why do so many people get this wrong? Even RG magazine gets it wrong!

It's up, down, left, right, hold A whilst pressing start. B and C don't come into it at all. Ooh it makes me mad etc.

 THAT explains why it hardly ever worked for me. I'd spend HOURS doing that cheat.

Here's another one for the more advanced button-presser then:

Up, C, Down, C, Left, C, Right, C, Hold A and press start but DON'T LET GO of A until the level actually starts - debug mode!

this can also be used with the level select so you can collect every chaos emerald before even starting the first level.it's been a long time since i did it but i think that either pressing reset or there is a button combo (abc + start?) to reset the game but it doesn't reset the cheat.

At the Continue Screen, rotate the pad clockwise from Right. Keep doing it allows you extra credits.
Do the same anti clockwise to enter the sound test screen. Outrun on the ST: pause the game then type STARION then press the T key to add seconds to your time.

I havent used that many cheats over the years (honest)

Arkanoid (Spectrum)
The first cheat I ever learnt, enter PBRAIN on the high score table to get infinite lives. I think pbrain was a recurring theme for one of the ocean devs, iirc it was a cheat for another game, and disassembling (platoon?) there was a note to someone called pbrain hidden in the code.

Target Renegade (Spectrum)
The only cheat I discovered myself, i think I pressed the extend mode or delete key and produced a weird character on the high score table. Keep pressing it and the text overruns the score and you continue where you died. A handy cheat at the time, but with practice, the game's so easy that there's no need.

Shadow of the Beast 2 (amiga)
Say 'Ten Pints' to the some guy under a tree at the start of the game to get infinite energy. I still found the game very difficult with the cheat, without it, it would have been beyond impossible.

Medieval Total War (pc)
Type 'alreadygotone' to obtain the grail treasure. The reference to my favorite scene in the monty python movies always makes me chuckle

Typing 'Fish Eyes' on 'Sims 1' on the Playstation 2 gave you a first person perspective. I wish I could remember the the on for International Karate/Internation Karate+ for the Commodore 64, it made players pants fall and them look at the screen. I used to know a few, and shocking cannot remember hardly
