It may not have been recommended but Id say to get yourself a copy of Dreamweb. Brilliant top down perspective game with a fanatastic story.

Loads of good games there ... I tried hard to think of other ones ...
how's about:
Switchblade 2 (action)
Bloodnet (cyberpunk with vampires graphic adventure)
Shadow Fighter (best Amiga BEU)
Payback (GTA 1 - but on the Amiga)
BC Kid (Bonk's Adventure from the PC Engine, now on Wii's VC)
Alien Breed 3D ('nuff said - it's ace)
Ruff N Tumble (Treasure-style run & shooter)
Stardust / Super Stardust (souped up Asteroids)
Coala (open ended tactical flight sim thingy)
Slamtilt (pinball)
Dune 2 (Command and Conquer - but on the Amiga)
etc!

My favourite Amiga games:
Monkey Island 2 (a must have, see my username)
Elf (great little platformer)
Maya (had great graphics especially in the driving stages)
Sly Spy Secret Agent (best secret agent game until Goldeneye!)
Lemmings (another given)
Jaguar XJ220 (good racer, although most people prefer Lotus Challenge)
Zeewolf (great shooter)
Desert Strike (the Amiga port was my favourite version)
But basically, the Amiga has tons of great games, maybe more than any other system IMHO.

I completely forgot about The Settlers - a rather interesting gameWildnites wrote:Maybe everyone else hated this game, I thought Settlers was/is a great game.
I know that there have been sequels but there is something about playing the original that can keep me hooks for hours and hours.....

I was slightly disturbed a while ago while reading the retro section of GamesTM. They had a retro review of the Chaos Engine and ended it by saying that it was such a great game that it was a shame they never made a sequel.you are missing the great Chaos Engine
Nice research guys! The Chaos Engine 2 was released in 1996 for A500 and AGA Amigas!

TBH I never found TCE to be that good a game - ok the graphics were good (if a little colourless) and the theme was novel, but I found the game to slow - in fact, with the exception of Speedball 2 and Xenon , I found most of their games quite dull and quickly repetetive

I loved Settlers. My copy kept crashing though, but I persevered with it.Wildnites wrote:Maybe everyone else hated this game, I thought Settlers was/is a great game.

It's a rather long-winded game, but it's great for wasting a few hours on. I have lots of happy memories in front of my A500+ and The Settlers.P-Head wrote:I loved Settlers.
