Im not going to be a popular guy for saying this and im not a hater and really did try to enjoy them but As far as games that got rated highly im going to have to say Super Mario World and all the other 2d mario games (Mario Bros 1,2,3) too simple, dull & boring level design for me. I dont know why but i did enjoy Mario Land on Gameboy though and to some extend Yoshi's Island despite it feeling incredibly slow paced. loved 64 & Sunshine though.
The square is a great shape, and one that is criminally underused in modern game design. In the push to ever more granular, chaotic environments, games have lost sight of the simple pleasures of right angles and straight lines.

Harvest Moon on the PS2....

Its a wonderful life, only if the loading times mean that you have any interest in doing anything without falling asleep due to boredom.. move around farm, into house, six years loading time

Star Wars Episode 1 pinball.
Probably the easiest pinball I've ever played. I kept generating credits.

GTA IV bored me half to death. As did San andreas. But i'd play vice city again and again and again. So much fun.

I'd agree with that. I do enjoy puzzle games but that one I just found tedious.

The Layton games weren't for me.
And any sports managar simulator game, I find very boring.

The Next Tetris (Dreamcast) - incredible how they managed to suck all the fun out of it.

MGS4, there's nothing fun about walking 3 steps in 45 minutes, couldn't take more than that.

^^^This (although i did stick it out and complete game-Massive dissapointment after Snake Eater).

Also, i too have no love for Portal-Just seems 1 of those games folk say is 'brilliant' as that seems expected response.

A few of the Commodore 64 games had such long loading times that I would fall asleep only to wake up to a blast of sound!

A lot of these new games with the guided stories can get boring.

I did enjoy Portal, but I went into it completely blind as I'd completely ignored all the hype and spoilers.

Most boring game I've ever played was The Sims. The odd bit of humour asides, it just feels completely pointless and you never feel a sense of progression with it.

Far Cry 2-Plot never seemed to get going, the driving sections were tedium galore, made worse by the map system+respawning foes between checkpoints.

Shame as loved 1st game.
