I've been playing a lot of the 'Pixle Junk' games downloaded from PSN on the PS3 lately.
We here a lot about XBox Live but in your opinion what are your favorate / the best arcade-type games available for download from PSN?
Ps. no PS3 vs 360 fighting, I have both and am completely impartial

Yeah the PixleJunk series always comes out on tops.
Here are my faves..
Joe Danger, gameplay influenced by kickstart/excitebike with some new bits thrown in.
Wipeout HD, 1080p+60fps+wipeout = lush.
Trine, a lovely puzzle platformer.
Flower, simply beautiful experience.
Shatter, superb bat and ball game with a stunning soundtrack.
Siren Blood Curse (at the time a PSN only game before disc release) Great re-telling/remake.
Super Stardust, mostly bought it because of the amiga games memories (name alone) great shoot em and up very addictive.
Critter Crunch, lovely puzzle game visually so colourful it will make you sick.
The Last Guy, I enjoyed this running around cities trying to rescue all the wee people.
Pain, I have to put this in here as 2 player has been a right laugh, me and a mate played this for hours.
PSN has had some great exclusive titles it's just the frequency of them that puts it into 2nd place as the console DL services goes.

And to that I'll also add Gravity Crash, really good Gravitar style game
Lemmings is also worth a check if you liked the original games....it's got all new levels and is dirt cheap, the way you have to collect your abilities before you can use them on some stages is a little odd though.

Sig pic temporarily removed...The Magnificent 7 will ride again

There are plenty of great games on PSN. Here are some of the ones I have:
The Last Guy (Google Maps + zombies = addictive fun)
Crash Commando (great little platform shooter)
Marvel Vs Capcom 2 (no explanation needed)
Outrun HD (don't think it's available anymore, not sure though)
Earthworm Jim HD (fun platformer)
Final Fight (Classic scrolling fighter with online co-op option)
Hope you find something you like!

Most of my favourites have already been mentioned, Pixeljunk Shooter, Gravity Crash, Trine, Super Stardust, Joe Danger (add me for some outrageous scores to beat!) but I'd also add the Gundemonium Collection too, 1 really tough vert shmup and a couple of decent hori shmups, for a tenner. Barg.

To be honest there's not many PSN games worth spending money on...not many exclusive ones anyways!
Outrun is amazing but I think it's been pulled?
Afterburner & Scott Pilgrim are solid faves

Pain's the game I've played most on the ps3, I picked up the retail version pretty cheap as well as that's got more stuff unlocked.
Splink!

I'll echo the love for Scott Pilgrim and Afterburner Climax - I forgot to put them in my original list.
I hear Pac Man Championship Edition DX is awesome, will have to download it next time my PS3 is near a broadband connection!

Seconded. Unless you set yourself up a US PSN account then you'll have access to alot more choice. Europe just seems to continue to get the dregs.

No love for Noby Noby Boy here? All right, it's not "The Best" game, but it's certainly an experience worth trying.
Also, After Burner, Scott Pilgrim, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Super Puzzle Fighter II HD Remix, Gunstar Heroes and (the now unavailable) Outrun.
